Thanks for the excellent addon! Are you thinking of doing a version for thunderbird? How easy would it be to modify for that?

I tried redoing the javascript with TB in mind, but the javascript relies heavily on the XPCOM with in turn relies heavily on the firefox API. So you'd need to compile a new version of the XPCOM specifically for TB, I think.

I noticed an issue related to the following styles in All-Glass 2.1.2:

.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected=true]) > .tab-text

.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected=true]):hover > .tab-text

With the 'text-shadow' parameter set, my tab bar is full of tabs, past the point where I can scroll them, if I start closing tabs at the right (I'm scrolled all the way to the right on the tab bar), a gap will appear between the scroll-tabs-to-the-right button and the far-right tab.

When 'text-shadow' is enabled under the non-hover style, this side-effect will occur if the far-right tab is focused and, for example, you hover over the far-right tab and middle-click twice to close two tabs. When 'text-shadow' is enabled under the hover style, it will occur in the same setup as before, but when a tab at least two or three from the right is focused.

With those two lines commented out, the gap issue is no longer present. I'm guessing that when Firefox moves the tabs when one closes, it's not compensating for the additional width introduced by the text shadows.

Also, I figured out how to skin the single close button at the far right of the tab strip (When you set browser.tabs.closeButtons=3 in about:config). Modify line 33 of overlay.css from

.tabs-alltabs-button {

to

.tabs-alltabs-button, .tabs-closebutton {

Not compatible with Firefox 3.5! Junk add-on! :angry:

It's for Glasser, not All-Glass. If it's used with All-Glass it'll fail because All-Glass has some code in the javascript that Glasser has moved to the XPCOM. I could make two versions, but I think that would be even more confusing frankly.

eta; in fact thinking about it, this could be where the bug in All-glass exists (where it doesn't glass child windows) as the code deals with finding the base window to glass to.

Yes, I am using All-Glass. Version 2.1.2 on Firefox 3.5 (on which Glasser does not work at all).

Update: I've disabled all of my addons except All-Glass, and now it works great.

I'm going to enable each one of them, one by one, to see who's the problematic guy.

Update 2: Found the faulty guy: LastPass.

I actually love it and am not going to give up to it for a sleeker interface.

Thanks a lot for this great release. It works gracefully with Windows 7 RC (Build 7100) and Firefox 3.5

I would also like to thank you on recommending the Compact menu, it makes things neater (I used to have my bookmark toolbar items to the right of the menu so I only used 1 toolbar, but with the menu gone I can fully use my bookmark toolbar again).

Cheers,

Ansa.

I was wondering if someone could fix the new version of Camifox, because i don't have the knowledge. It's the best looking theme when using All-Glass. With the old version of Camifox and Firefox 3.6 the folder icons isn't showing in the bookmarks menu.

It should definitely be possible. dragon0823 released a version for an older version of firefox, think it was 2.0b4. I PM'd him recently regarding one for the new version, which I think is now 2.0.2, so we'll see if he can release a new version :)

His original post is here

I do not know, talking about it here or not. I just found a conflict of this plugin and LastPass. to solve the problem, it is necessary to remove the checkmark from the item "Use Compact Toolbar".

Good find! Thanks!

    • Wow, imagine you dump hundreds of hours into completing things and unlocking stuff and you lose it all. Back in the day when cheats were built into games, you could at least unlock things again that way without spending hundreds of hours again. But those days are long gone for some reason as no one builds cheats into games anymore. So it's even more painful that studio that's on its 6th installment **** it up so badly.
    • Spotify finally removes the disco ball app icon in the latest update by Ivan Jenic Image: Spotify Spotify has just released an update that removes its now infamous disco ball icon. The update reverts the app icon to the familiar flat green logo after weeks of mixed reactions online. The icon arrived on May 13 as part of the company's 20th anniversary celebration and was always intended to be temporary, though Spotify only confirmed that after the backlash started. The disco ball took the internet by storm, as the reception was split. A vocal group of users called it ugly and disorienting, with some iOS users noting that the 3D glowing effect made the app look like it was stuck mid-update. On the other end, the icon picked up a following of its own. Its retro, three-dimensional look immediately stood out against the flat, minimalist aesthetic that has dominated app design for years. It even started a small movement, spawning what people started calling "discomorphism," a mashup of disco and skeuomorphism. Other brands started posting disco ball versions of their own logos, probably in an effort to ride the wave of memes that flooded the internet during late May. Spotify has had a turbulent relationship with its user base lately. Besides the disco ball icon, which certainly wasn't appreciated by everyone, the company has also received backlash for its willingness to include AI-generated music on its platform. On May 17, Spotify promised the old icon would return “in a few weeks.” And now it looks like that time has finally arrived. So, whether you liked the disco ball or it made you uncomfortable, it’s now gone for good. The next time you update the Spotify app on your phone, the old, flat-design icon will return.
