Sethos
I made this video to show a friend what kind of effects / soundpacks were available for the game at the moment, mainly meant to show the particle effects, explosions, sounds and a few night-time changes - Just these few 'tweaks' really adds a ton to the game :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1N0Rwp-l7qA At least the A-10 sounds realistic now, can't believe Bohemia couldn't get that right. I also received my TrackIR last week and it adds leaps and bounds to a game like this, such an amazing piece of kit to own.
Sethos
I just love bumping this thread  Although, this time it's a modification milestone; A.C.E 2 Public Beta :woot: Any ArmA player unfamiliar with A.C.E, shame on you! Here's the Biki overview, check out "Features of ACE2" at the bottom of it: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ACE2 Armaholic download link: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8601 and I suggest you go for the Yoma method, their own SIX Updater is so convoluted. Viper217
cant wait for 1.05, always wary of anti-cheat software after PB banned me from BF2 for nothing, but if it cuts down on the rampant cheating/glitching online that would be great. Duality
cant wait for 1.05, always wary of anti-cheat software after PB banned me from BF2 for nothing, but if it cuts down on the rampant cheating/glitching online that would be great. I assume you filed an appeal with whatever anti-cheat site banned you? Because Punkbuster only dishes out global bans itself for violations that are 100% proven to not cause false positives. Regardless, not all anti-cheat is evil - and I think this will be a good move by BIS.

Waylander
been working through sp but want to try mp, one question do alot of servers run mods? looking at armahollic it looks like a bit of a cluster**** of dependancys with mods requiring a load of others to work properly
Sethos
Nobody can tell you, it's completely random. It all depends on what the server is trying to achieve - Be it a regular public server with default game-modes, then it will most likely not be using any addons or perhaps it's a specific type of warfare server, like Desert combat for an example and will require desert maps / units etc. Check out the title, as most of them will tell you whether they're using addons or not, the name sometimes is a clue in itself. Most decent servers also have a clan URL or something in the title so you know where to go for information on the addons they're using. The beauty of this game is the immense customizability but it can also by annoying when trying to go online. That's why most people join clans / squads or stay on regular servers - This isn't really meant as a server-jumping game. Oh and most self-respecting servers these days are using ACE 2, so that's a decent place to start.

Sethos
sethos you still play arma2? i have been playing on the kellys heroes server most nights and its a lot of fun, keep meaning to collect my old saitek cyborg stick from my mothers so i can learn to fly I do yes but I don't play on public servers, don't even play Multiplayer any more - I tend to stay in the Mission Editor and create my own mini-scenarios and have fun there. Have you installed ACE 2 yet? The only way to play ArmA is with ACE :p
