Codemasters reveals F1 game details

This game is so overdue, can't wait.

This game really is overdue. I can't wait for an F1 game. I'll buy this the day it comes out. It does sound like the 2010 version may be lacking a little compared to the 2011 version, but I doubt I'll be able to wait. I'll just have to buy both, haha.

I think the last open wheel racing game I played was some indy racing game that ran on our 386 computer, so I could use a new one. laugh.gif

24 player online. Well that will be a lag hell hole...

Only if you've got a slow connection. Anything over 10Mbit should be able to handle 23 other players just fine.

Anyway, I can't wait for this game to come out in September! :)

I remember being able to play 31 other players on a 2Mbit connection, oh the joys of playing a computer game with dedicated servers :)

I'll be getting this for Pc and will invest in a wheel

Might I suggest the Logitech G25? Best racing wheel I've ever owned :)

Looks good though :)

I think the G25 is nigh on impossible to your get your hands on nowadays. The G27 is available but in the UK it's a bit steep @ ?225.

?225 for a peripheral!? That's more than the bloody consoles cost

Meh, those fanatec wheels for the 360 are even more expensive for a full set. but they're pretty hardcore.

considering it's a codemasters game you'll probably be better off with a pad than a wheel anyway. it's a long time since they knew the meaning of the word sim.

For most racing games it's stupid though, since actual racign cars, and more specifically for this thread, F1 cars, don't drive with full 270 degree lock.

I actually considered suing my tax return to buy a Fanatec, but then I decided I could drive just as well with my normal wheel, the game is just as fun. and mostly I don't bother pulling out the wheel anyway. So I bought a Traxxas Slash 4x4 Brushless, RC car instead, waaaay more fun :p

^^ True, However in the software you can change the lock to any # you want :p

The F1 game... The in-race radio sounds HORRIBLE "Great overtake!", "Your in his turbulent air you will lose front-end grip"

Yes. I know!

That limited edition Fanatec with the actual 360 backlit buttons is pure sex though. and that have that neat little folding thing to put the wheel and pedals on.

Yeah my friends one has backlit buttons which change depending on whether you're connected to a 360 or a PS3. Not sure about the folding stand though. He used some weird coffee table lol.

    • Dude get a clue, LTSC is Enterprise, not even legal for consumers, and ESU is not mainstream support cycle, just an extended security updates period.
    • Nvidia is your issue more so than linux itself. I did used it for a while with an old 1060 3gb, but using propietary drivers was kind of messy.
