Same stream, taken from on down.

EDIT: Thanks Kel. Shame I couldn't get the same sky colour as you get.

I think it's more the fault of the weather than anything you might be doing Quboid. Cloudy or overcast skies have a tendency to come out white. Lighting is important.

Dig the scenery.

the best of a digital camara is that if u dont like it u can delete them

i wish i got 1 couse its hard to make a good 1 so i make more then 1 but with a standard camara u have to wait till u got the foto and in the time u got the foto ur a long time from where u made them

keldyn: nice pics, u should make them for backgrounds and publish them or something:)

Yeah, not a lot of clear blue skies around here. The ones at the stream were taken with the sun out and it was darned hot for around here (mid/high 20's) but the sky was still mostly cloudy.

At least I got a chance to wear my Raybans  (see the Oakley's thread in General if you don't have a clue what I'm talking about)

EDIT: Damn where did you find that sunglasses smilie?!

I know about Raybans  and they are much better than oakley's. I've had my pair for seven years. (Y)

Kaneda pretty much has it...but for mine I just changed the white balance to bring in more light @ the focal point. I would imagine just turning off the flash and taking the picture would give pretty much the same effect. (these pictures were captured on an Olympus D510, which has since been destroyed...now my Fuji A303 rocks my blocks, and I love it!) I will post some taken with it later today.

:D

Thankyou Kaneda. That is pretty much what I figured. I'll have to get myself a tripod then.

These next shots were taken today on the way home. As we pulled up at the lights a car to the right side of the intersection ran a red light and plowed into the rear right side of a car just in front of us. The impact spun both cars in line with one another and then the car was struck again from behind forcing it and the elderly couple inside up onto a curb where they struck the traffic lights. The impact was tremendous....

Because we were directly behind and saw the entire incident we pulled up nearby and raced over to offer assistance. The elderly woman was quite hurt. She had a broken arm, and was in a serious state of shock. Her legs were also pinned because the front of the car was seriously crushd. Her husband had only just been released from hospital yesterday after suffering a heart attack and was still sporting a neck brace. He was cut up quite badly. He had impacted with the rear vision mirror and suffered some lacerations to the top of his head.

A good number of people had also stopped and were offering to help and someone was fortunate enough to have a phone on them to arrange for fire, police and ambulance. There was nothing I could do short of offer reassurance and help move them out of their wrecked vehicle when the ambulance arrived. I also helped moved their belongings into their neighbours van for safe keeping. Fortunately my friend is a double certificate, qualified nursing sister and was able to put the womans broken arm into a sling and we stayed with the couple until they were taken away to hospital.

The whole thing was crazy. What really made me mad though was the cause of the accident. He was a young, male driver, probably around 16-17 years of age and was still on his probationary license. In his haste not only did he cause an accident but put a lot of lives at risk including his own. Throughout the entire ordeal not once did he get out of his vehicle to apolgize or even to inquire on the condition of those he had hurt. The young man was unharmed.

its too bad dragging him out of his car thru the window and beating him senseless wouldn't solve anything eh?

btw..i've been thinking about this for a while... this thread has evolved since the first few pages into a general interest digital camera specs/questions/pictures thread. could the thread use a name change?
