i've always liked the blue in the sky of keldyn's shots. his landscape didn't seem to suffer from it either. pictures i've taken in the past of part land part sky kind of muddied out the blue of the sky. so in short, Keldyn has prompted me to practice! this is what I've come up with. much better than my earlier pictures including sky in the picture imo. what do you think?

That's a nice shot Spyder - what's the secret? ;)

One thing I find very hard with any camera is keeping it steady. The Ixus has a light that flashes if it's shaking and that's always on unless I have resting the camera on something. This desk shot took about 15 tries! Is there any trick to it or should I just cut back on my caffine intake? :ninja:

Here's one of my geek kingdom ;)

EDIT: Hmm, if you preview a post with an attachment, the attachment goes AWOL...

Quboid: congrats on your purchase! I don't have a very steady hand either. You should really be making use of the flash for indoor shots. That should help a lot with the camera shake problem. Also check the ISO speed settings. Auto or 50 is good when there is plenty of light.

Great work with your last shot spyder. The sky looks awesome!

Good question!

Let me explain... if I convert the $499 ... let's say $500 to Hong Kong Dollar, it'd be $2500

My uncle bought it at $1,800 , so it'd be $700, however Tax didn't include yet... so it'd be approx. $1000 save value :D

Edit: The $1000 is HK Dollar :p .. heh not CAD! $200 in Canadian :D So approx. 50% off if bought in HK ..

so if $500 = $2500 then $1800 = $360 .. i dont see where a savings of $1000 canadian comes in to be honest. it'd be $140 canadian in savings. the $700 (or $805 after 15% tax.. assuming hong kongs tax rate) is a hong kong dollar savings, not canadian

:D
