[Official] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Recommended Posts

Thought id post this for ppl living in the UK. Basically gamestation are doing an offer, trade in 2 titles which are listed in the link below and u can get COD for 4.99.

Now whats interesting is one of the games on the trade list is Overlord 2, which if you go to play.com is ?10 for the ps3 version and 360 version, so if you buy 2 copies for ?20 u get COD for 4.99 thus your only payin ?25

And yes at the moment they will accept trading in 2 of the same game, well i guess they do with the many success stories but i'd phone ahead before doing it just to make sure. Im not sure how long it will last as im sure they'll cotton on to loads of ppl bringing in overlord 2 lol, so id do it as soon as

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/516963/trad...and-get-cod-mw2

I personally havent done it as i dont have a gamestation near me, and too much effort to travel for an hour to get it lol

Lol..i pre ordered it..but i may of obtained a leaked version ( and maybe just finished it)...am i a bad person?

Yes! :p

I'm still getting it for PS3, the online looks epic. The amount of perks/weapon add ons is insane o.o

Is everyone just playing pirated games now?

Considering the length of this topic I think it's safe to say a large portion of the Neowin GH with 360s are closet pirates :p

Man that GT review was terrible. The reviewer for the most. Damn near put me to sleep if it wasnt for the footage.

I agree. I gave the review an 8 on game trailers, although that was for the footage, but yeah, that review was horrible (due to the reviewer). It did look like an official GT Review though (presentation, etc). So I'm not sure. I just find it strange that the review was only like 5mins long, yet The Ballad of Gay Tony's review was twice as long (it's just DLC, does it warrant a longer review than one of the most anticipated games of the year?).

Either way, we only have 7 days to go. I'm really hoping Game Stop will give those of us that pre-ordered our copies after 6pm. The guy I talked to at the one I pre-ordered from said they did that the last time, but he really wasn't sure. Worst case would be a midnight release, in which I would lose massive amounts of sleep before work, and since I just started a new job, that's not good lol.

You won't find it under the Review section because GameTrailer's haven't posted their review yet.

The "review" that was posted is by a community member on the community channels. If that still wasn't even, just look at the URL..

http://www.gametrailers.com/user-movie/movie/333900

And his space over at GT..

I thought as much....

i work at "some place" and i was surprised to see CoD:MW2 already in stock for both 360 and PS3, we had 8 copies of each, but can't sell any yet :( :(

Do you have to sign a disclaimer stating that you can't release it before the shipping date? My mate manages a electronics store and had to sign something similar for the launch of Windows 7.

well, the boxes where we get them shipped to us have a big orange sticker stating to NOT sell until the printed date or release date.

too bad i don't have any money right now, i'm sure i could just take one and ring it at the cashier with no problem.

most of the people from that place don't know much about games or release dates anyway.

Not going to give spoilers away... But... O.M.G. BEST GAME EVER (sorry for caps)

The way they make you feel the emotion to the new characters (ghost) is amazing to me and my mate finished this game and didn't leave the room for at least 7 hours. We played it on "Normal" difficulty and wow. Completing this on veteran will be near impossible.

EPIC.

10/10

My perfect game.

    • Apple reportedly looks to blacklisted Chinese memory chips as RAM prices climb by Karthik Mudaliar Image via Apple Apple is reportedly trying to get a clearance from the Trump administration to buy memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) to get some relief from soaring DRAM prices. As per a report by the Financial Times, Apple approached the Commerce Department more than a month ago and also spoke to other officials and allies in Washington. For starters, CXMT is a company that's already been placed on the Pentagon's list of Chinese military companies. The Chinese company is the country's top DRAM maker. For Apple, the timing is certainly awkward but not surprising. Tim Cook had recently warned that Apple would have to raise prices because AI companies are buying up large amounts of memory for data centers, and just like that, Apple raised MacBook and iPad prices. Micron also recently revealed that customers have committed billions of dollars to secure memory supply years in advance, which shows us how aggressive securing infrastructure has become. This gives suppliers such as Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron more leverage, while pushing hardware makers to look for alternatives. CXMT is one of those alternatives, but not the simplest one. Apple has spent many years trying to diversify parts of its supply chain away from China, especially for final assembly, while still depending heavily on Chinese manufacturing and suppliers. Even domestic brands from China are moving towards CXMT and YMTC instead of relying on Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix. For Apple, though, it would invite more scrutiny than local Chinese companies. For now, this is more like a lobbying effort rather than a confirmed supply deal. There's no official statement from either of the parties. What is clearer, though, is the pressure behind such a request. AI demand has certainly made hardware a bottleneck, and companies are trying everything they can to bring things back to normal, even if that means making politically sensitive choices. • I did test it a month or so back, but ... the results I expect to be on the first page are not there.
    • Neowin is saying these are good prices? Thats crazy. As others have said they are just ######. Time for big tech to bring down the prices for real not this fake crap.
    • The iFlyTek AINote 2 is among the thinnest E-Ink tablets. It has an EMR stylus, a built-in fingerprint reader, and plenty of built-in AI features. You had me until "and plenty of built-in AI features." That and any company that still does the iProduct naming trope is an immediate pass. It suggests the company isn't very imaginative or creative and is trying to piggyback off another company's success. Extremely lame. Also kind of expensive. Better choices at lower prices out there.
