[Official] GTA4 - The Ballad of Gay Tony

Recommended Posts

Give me GTA:London in HD, or SA in HD, that would be so sweet. Bring back the ability to improve character stats by going to the gym etc like in SA, bring back skills like bike skills, driving skills etc.

Where is my BMX and bicycles? Bring them back too. Would prefer SA over VC anyday. I am guessing they may hold off SA untill the next generation of consoles as space is a factor (maybe not so much for the PS3, but certainly the 360). SA would be a huge game due to its size

The Ballad of Gay Tony is terrific, I'd have happily paid full price for this, as it is essentially a full game set in the same world at IV and TLAD. I love the little nods to each episode, in the form of characters popping up here and there, and the way missions are played out from different perspectives is great. The new cars are super, and the parachute is fab (well, the first 10 times).

However, one thing irks me - surely DLC/add-on's shouldn't be better than the original? As impressed as i was with GTA IV initially, it just felt like you were just one man stuck in this huge world, that was forever trying to impress you as opposed to giving you a good gaming experience. Both DLCs were the other way round in my opinion.

I'm still yet to complete Gay Tony, as I know when I do I'll probably never touch the game again, or at least not for a while. Which is a shame.

I find it odd that we haven't had ANY (as far as I'm aware) official news about the next GTA, or if there will be one. Can't see anything arriving till 2011, in time for the next generation?

Over at GTAF the word on the street is Vice City is the next game again.

Which wouldn't be too surprising with the inclusion of the radio station and it's also the most popular title in the series.

Well this is in the manual of Episodes From Liberty City:

An entirely new place would be great but I still think SA is the next place we will be visiting.

In BOGT we hear how Tonys boyfriend, Evan, probably fled to Los Santos with the diamonds.

Theres also a San Fierro poster in La Boheme(?) club

Finally we kill the owner of said club and we call our friend and them he wasnt in Las Venturas afterall

Nah the nextgen consoles wont be here until at least 2012

R* Games will easily release both Vice City and SA in that timeframe.

What's that supposed to be in the corner? Am I being slow or is it not actually a clue?

Yah Im puzzled too :s

it's supposed to look like that piece of the page is ripped out, showing a piece of the page that is behind it.

Vice City is mentioned just as much, if not more, as well. so it could go either way really.

Hasn't anyone got a decent scanner? (I bought DLC)

The image itself is actually ass and not even 1/4 of a manual page, it is pretty small, so even if I scanned it would not really do much, it just generally looks bad and is a small image. That original image of it is about as good as you will get.

never liked gta games, but if u could buy gay tony dlc on its own without having the main game then i would do that. the yusuf character looks hilarious. best gta character ever? anyone?

I would say second best. Kent Paul was my favourite character but Yusuf is a close second

Kent Paul = Danny Dyer.

So if Danny has some "secret" projects coming up or some undisclosed voice work... we know it's Vice City 2.

Unless they get a sound-a-like.... :/

I think they were all brilliant characters. Johnny and Luis were at a bit of a disadvantage because the DLC packs had a much smaller storyline, so we didn't get to learn so much about their past. So out of the three, Niko is my fave, but I think Luis would have taken that spot if we learned more about him.

wow, thats cool

how many gb is it? may be better if i buy it as dlc

I am almost certain if you get it as DLC, you need the original GTA IV game for it.

If you buy Episodes From Liberty City, then you can play them stand alone.

I think getting the DLCs over Live is better than Episodes From Liberty City because the DLCs have GTA IV's music while Episodes From Liberty City has no GTA IV music but has Vice City FM and two other stations. I got Episodes From Liberty City and it's an alright game but I don't like how it's setup on the 360. I have 2 GTA IV entries for achievements. I wish the achievements would have been separated so my EFLC and GTA IV achievements didn't show twice.

    • I'm still rocking iOS 25.x on my primary phone cuz iOS 26 still has usability quirks (mostly aesthetic and thus its UX) which I don't wanna deal with -- and I've been piloting them with all of these updates on my backup phone, so I'm well aware of its "improvements" since iOS 26 was first released (compared to version 26.5.x).
