[Offical]Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Recommended Posts

if anyone is into playing some CoOp right now hit me up on PSN and I will send you an invite, I have so far only beaten the 2nd map so still have 1st and 3rd map to play... If there are two people into it even better, can have all 3 people...

Also hurzin, sorry I did not response last night, I have a horrible habit of just leaving my PS3 on and running even if I have not intentions of playing the rest of the night and that is what happened last night. So sorry about that. (Y)

EDIT - Okay going to get some lunch, so I signed off my PS3 for a bit, but I will check back in awhile and see if anyone is interested. If not, I will just go ahead and play with randoms and see how that works out.

Not only do I like the CoOp mode, but I really want to get my Rank up a bit so I can get better boosters for MP Elimination which is definitely my favorite mode, so CoOp is the best way to do this as far as I see.

Do that same thing, but in the chapter "The Dig".

After you get the grenades and "learn how to use them", switch to your handgun and shoot once, then punch. This part of the chapter is where a lot of enemies come to you (when Sully is sniping). You'll earn it in no time.

i have been doing exactly that on that level too. shot once then i walk up to them and i press sqwear some times it hits from the top , normal punch or the top. i got the same achevment on uncharted 1 (5 times in a row doing exactly that.)

is it just me :D

With all the resounding critical praise that Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2 has received thus far, it's good to see creative director Amy Hennig speaking up on the possibility of DLC for the game. "We're working on that now ... there will be DLC available before the end of the year," she told IndustryGamers today. Though she's not yet revealing very much on what exactly the content will entail, she did say it may include, "new maps, new characters, things like that ... some of it will be free of charge and some of it will be purchasable."

She wouldn't directly quote sales of the title thus far, but she did allow that the title is "exceeding expectations" and outselling the original game "by many, many times" -- a fact no doubt aided by the PlayStation 3's primary position among consoles on last month's NPDs. Hennig seems to embrace this head-on, referring to the confluence of events that lead to the current success of Uncharted 2 -- a hardware price drop, a handful of games being pushed back, and critical acclaim for the game -- as "serendipity." That doesn't mean the game ends in an expensive ice cream shop, right?

PS3 Fanboy Link

I so hope they fetch out more co-op maps, don't get me wrong the multiplayer is fun but this game is all about the story!

Just a note there's a cheat in the game that lets you play crushing mode with tweaks turned on and still get the trophy.

The one changing to Hard and then changing back to Crushing? You can still get the trophy doing that?

Uncharted 2, Second Fastest Selling PS3 Exclusive

Uncharted 2 was expected to sell a lot during releases, and it did not disappoint. The game shifted approximately 836,000 units in the first week worldwide, making it the second fastest selling PlayStation 3 exclusive title, followed closely by Killzone 2 which sold about 770,000 units in launch week. The fastest selling PS3 exclusive so far remains as Metal Gear Solid 4, which managed to sell a whopping 1.7 million units in launch week, and went on to sell almost 5 million units.

The original Uncharted managed to sell 2.62 million units throughout it's lifetime, but debuted with very disappointing sales. It sold approximately 134,000 units worldwide during launch, selling only 32,000 copies in North America during launch week. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves' 836,000 sales during launch week represent an over six-fold increase in sales from the previous game.

We hope the game manages to sell as much as (if not more than) the original Uncharted, because it definitely deserves all the praise it's getting and could be the best game released this generation.

enabling cheats for trophies is pretty sad. only thing you're cheating is yourselves by doing so.

crushing was much more difficult on the first for me. but a lot of fun.

the uncharted series remains the only 2 games ive played to complete platinum.

i can proudly say i have yet to enable any tweaks.

Hey, if Naughty Dog allows us to use tweaks for the trophies, we might as well use them.

its merely an exploit. (switching difficulty back and forth after enabling your cheat of choice)

naughty dog doesnt intend for anyone to run through crushing difficulty, or any other unbeaten difficulty for that matter, for the first time using any type of tweaks/cheats.

as i said, you're only cheating yourselves out of the intended experience by doing so.

anyways,

HERE's the good folks over at naughtydog confirming DLC before the years' end.

Woah woah, hold it there. I finished my Crushing play legit. I was talking about using tweaks to get trophies like the 200 GAU kills or the 5 headshots in a row.

Either way, it doesn't matter really. Its just a virtual trophy, its worth nothing.

The treasure hunt is uber easy (with a guide). You won't spend more than 5 hours searching for the treasures. Remember, you can go chapter by chapter, on any difficulty, and if you find all the treasures in a chapter, just quit back to the main menu and go to another chapter.

i could see how using a weapon cheat would be useful for a trophy as the one you stated. the 200 kill trophy was definitely a pita. that's not what was being referenced to earlier though. exploiting for game completion purposes was mentioned.

so yea, be easy tito. i wasnt pointing any fingers at you, or anyone else. just my 2cent generalization towards anyone that would use the said exploit to gain a completion trophy. :)

yea, a guide helps lots for trophy hunts! some of the locations are very well thought out and damn near impossible to find :D

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know The ONLY thing I need to know is the price, which I know will be way higher than I (and most people) are willing to pay for a phone... so basically nothing here I need to know. PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
    • Well I really think the repasting helped if your higher clocks have returned, maybe the next thing to look at is if there is a problem with your case airflow? I guess this because your 3080 has returned to optimal state, but is still staying too warm, which might suggest it was thermal throttling before you repasted, of which the only logical conclusion could be outside factors.
    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know by Hamid Ganji Galaxy Z Fold 7 - Image via Samsung The next generation of Samsung foldables is set to be unveiled next month at the second Unpacked event of the year. Samsung’s 2026 foldables are not expected to offer significant upgrades over their predecessors, with the Korean firm instead focusing on design refinements and conventional upgrades such as faster processors and better cameras. However, Samsung is reportedly planning to unveil an all-new passport-style foldable this year to rival Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which is expected to debut this September. Here’s a roundup of everything we know about Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices ahead of their official debut. When can we expect Samsung’s new foldables? The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 series were unveiled in July, and Samsung is expected to maintain this timeframe in 2026. Based on previous reports from Korean sources, Samsung will hold its Unpacked event on July 22 in London, UK, to pull back the curtain on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. The devices are also expected to hit the shelves a few weeks after launch. However, Samsung has yet to announce an official date. A new naming scheme? One of the most interesting changes we might see this year is a new naming scheme for Samsung’s latest foldables. SamMobile reported that since Samsung is expected to unveil three foldables this year, it has adopted a new naming strategy to simplify product identification for customers. Accordingly, the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 will reportedly be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and will serve as the direct successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. The “Ultra” suffix suggests the phone could feature higher-end specifications, such as additional rear camera modules. Samsung’s new passport-style foldable is expected to carry the Galaxy Z Fold 8 name without any suffix. This model is reportedly equipped with two rear cameras. No major changes are expected for the Flip model. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 anticipated specs Rumors over the past few months suggest Samsung is preparing several upgrades for its upcoming foldables, although the devices may continue to rely on larger batteries and faster charging speeds rather than dramatic design changes. The primary focus this year is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and its wide-screen design. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here are the anticipated specifications for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra based on previous leaks: 6.5-inch outer display and 8-inch inner display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,600 nits peak brightness Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage 4.1mm thickness when unfolded and a weight of 210g 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, 10MP or 12MP telephoto camera, 10MP cover camera, and 10MP selfie camera 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 As for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, the device is not expected to be a major departure from its predecessor, although it could become slightly slimmer. Expected specifications include: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 processor 12GB of RAM with 256GB and 512GB storage options 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner dispaly and 4.1-inch Super AMOLED outer dispaly 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 Samsung’s foldables are also expected to launch with Gemini Intelligence, Google’s AI suite for automating tasks in Android ecosystem. Moreover, given current memory and component costs, some Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 variants could see a price hike. Galaxy Z Fold 8 adopts a wide-screen design The centerpiece of the upcoming Unpacked event could be the Galaxy Z Fold 8, previously rumored as the Galaxy Z Fold Wide. This model adopts a passport-style form factor and is expected to compete directly with Apple’s iPhone Fold. Galaxy Z Fold 8 official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here’s what to expect: 7.6-inch primary OLED display and 5.4-inch cover display, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and 4:3 aspect ratio Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage options 4,800mAh battery with 45W wired charging 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera Android 17 and One UI 9 The three new foldable phones are unlikely to be the only devices unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event. The company is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and the Galaxy Watch 9 series.
