Great story and great progress!

This is from 2006 and you kept the weight off since then? Would you recommend buying a stationary bike? I'm in the market for one and was googling around for success stories.

2009 .. ya stationary bike works great, just put it in front of a TV when you want to ride it!

Stationary bikes are great to get some exercise in general. I'm sat in an office for 40 hours a week at work, so I always try do 10k a day on the bike each evening, I feel much better after that.

Yes that was an oddly great photo! :)

So you decided not to keep the beard?

I cannot ever grow one - I have millimeters of gaps between hairs and they are not really even at all - and now they are half grey ... But if I was you I would keep the beard for sure.

Got really scraggily, and started to itch. That beard you saw took about 15 day to grow out, so it doesn't take long to grow another one.

Yeah it takes time to get used to one when you never had one for long

I was travelling for 4 weeks  and did not bother shaving as there was only 2 of us with my brother and we focused on surviving not looks. But it did get annoyingly itchy (and when I was finally back in civilization and saw myself I realized I can never grow it out - ever.

In 4 weeks it was about same lengths as your 2 weeks and about 1/4 of the hair (maybe even less then 1/4th)

I couldn't imagine why lol 🤣

What am I missing?

Btw I am your age and I basically half grey haired everywhere.

My brother is 50 and he has almost no grey hair at all.  Guess my wild youth and all the raves did affect me a bit 😳

Then again it might just be the stress I was putting myself on the job for the last 5 years and the lost sleep - I did quit that job with the boss who did whatever he wanted while I signed the docs... Never again.

Now I really don't want the stationery bike but I do have a home weight rack and free weights and vibration plate - but no TV there and it is super hard to train alone.

I lost 5 kg in 1 month in Mexico - walking hills and swimming waves.... But back home - gained it back in 2 weeks...

Trying to change my damn diet.... Or move close to the ocean if I can figure out how to do it and make a living.

    • Apple are scared of their customers! They have built a brand over the years of "it just works out of the box", but that slows innovation. Samsung's master stroke was the Galaxy Ultra: "Let's cram everything into one handset, make it so stupid only real nerds will love it, some of the features will work, some won't, but the audience will have such a high tolerance they won't care". Apple has no such device and so they are constantly worrying these days about the fallout of creating a new experience that customers might not like. I know it is often cited the reason they don't build a touchscreen Mac Book is they don't want to cannibalise the the iPad market, but I think it's equally cold feet after the criticism Microsoft receive trying to make a touch compatible desktop OS

    • So, an article that has nothing to do with Windows 11, still gets Windows 11 in the title and a build number as the picture? Dell have a buggy build of Support Assist HP have UEFI settings that need unlocking for the secureboot cert upgrade to take place.
    • What I can't seem to understand is that Google are paying SpaceX? Surely it would be the other way round, with SpaceX needing Google's datacenters etc.? Oh well, this level of money and power is way outside of my comprehension at the best of times.
