I just looked at my photo archive (have the last 7 years images backed up on like three hard drives - lesson learned after losing about 300 images from 2002/2003 a couple years back) and it turns out that in almost every year September and October are the months when I take close to zero photos (not counting the copious amounts I take during work obviously).

So with that in mind and after a poor Sept 09 I'm endeavoring to build up my October 09 folder. This weeks theme (or attempt at a theme) is HDR.

I'm no expert at HDR so it's all learning and some images might not be a standard some are up to but I'm trying lol.

Anyway:

Two different attempts at the same scene:

Any comments or tips on HDR would be appreciated.

Cheers

I think you could use more Blacks on that, you histogram must be pretty weak on the dark side.

Nah. Blurred water lines has totally been done before. That was illuminated on a series of strobe flashes. Would have looked the same at 1/3rd sec :)

Besides, I was bored. I don't usually take photographs of showerheads. Apart from at the weekend. It's a fetish.

@digitaljames: Nice photo, I didn't know there was an f1.2 50mm

In case you haven't had enough from me, here's another picture I took:

I see what you did there...

    • Marshall Major V Bluetooth headphones are now up to 47% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The Marshall Major V in Midnight Blue is currently $89.99 on Amazon, down from $169.99. That's 47% off and $80 saved on a pair of wireless on-ear headphones from one of the most recognizable names in audio. The Major V is Marshall's take on a long-lasting everyday headphone. The headphones deliver 100+ hours of wireless playtime, which puts them in a completely different category from most Bluetooth headphones that hover around 30-40 hours. You’re charging this thing once a week at most, and with wireless charging supported, you don’t have to worry about additional cables. Marshall promises its signature sound profile, with strong bass, smooth mids, and clear highs. There’s a customizable M-button, which you can set to quickly access Spotify Tap, your EQ settings, or a voice assistant. The design is foldable and lightweight at 186 grams, so it’s easy to pack for travel. And finally, the faux leather finish gives the Major V a sleek, premium look. At $89.99, the Major V Midnight Blue is a genuinely strong buy for anyone who wants a reliable daily headphone without paying premium prices. It’s also worth mentioning that the Cream and Brown variants are also discounted to $89.99, though from a lower original price of $99.99. • +1 on XVI. I still use it.
