Just a warning - looks like Reach is out there in the wild. This time it seems we can't blame the French; apparently, a group of modders figured out how to fool Xbox.com into allowing a download of the copies put up for some press. (Ouch!) Videos and screenshots are already online, and it's likely that if you hang around on forums, you WILL see spoilers. (We'll do our best to keep them off the HBO forum, but we can't guarantee anything... and we certainly can't help with other places on the interwebs.) I suppose it was only a matter of time, especially for such a big release as this. As for myself, I'm in it for the multiplayer, and so I won't lose any sleep if the single-player gets spoiled for me.

Its probably real as Reach has been downloadable from private sites since yesterday afternoon, loads of people are playing it on Xlink Kai too.

Its hard to believe Microsoft put it on Xbox Live Marketplace and people actually managed to download it and decrypt it, I dont think Microsoft will do that again in a hurry. :pinch:

That being said: I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread should anyone feel the need to post spoilers.

Subscriptions don't add a spoil tag (or any bbcode for that matter) to email subs so.. I'd rather not see images and/or text about it. BLACK OUT TIME O.O

Many of the previous Halo games have been leaked ahead of time and it didn't exactly hurt their sales...

There is no way it DOESN'T hurt the sales. Not saying they don't sell amazingly well, but they would sell better if you couldn't get hold of it via torrents/newsgroups etc.

The texture work in the leaked screenshots look fantastic. Ironic, considering I always thought the other games in the series were let down graphically from muddy texture work. Kudos, Bungie.
