This is my workstation. I spend many an hour here. My wife says I would rather make love to my computer, than I would to her. I say if you could play music, surf the net, download a file, and not complain about it once.... Things could be different! LOL!! But she spends alot of time here also. But it's still a work in progress. I change things pretty much on a weekly basis. Hope you guys and girls like the pics. Any feedback would be appreciated. Have fun!! :p

My desk @ work. Been pretty much unchanged for months except for the addition of my MacBook which is now the only computer I travel with. Basically the desktop has the keyboard and mouse connected and using Synergy/Input Director I can cross to the other computers. The HP Laptop is the primary development computer while the Dell Laptop is used for my database work. Desktop runs the show and the Mac is just used for email in the office. I have a clone of my HP machine in VMWare on the MacBook for when I am away from my desk and need to work.

Computers:

MacBook Pro 13" 2.53 -- Mac OSX Snow Leopard

HP Elitebook -- Windows 7 Enterprise x64

Dell Latitude D820 -- Windows 7 Enterprise x86

Dell Optiplex -- Windows 7 Enterprise x64

Monitors:

2x Dell 19" 1280 x 1024

3x Dell 17" 1280 x 1024

Input Director 1.2.1 for communication between windows PCs

Synergy for communication between Windows and MacOS X

Other Hardware:

Apple Magic Mouse (Bluetooth)

Apple Wireless Keyboard (Bluetooth)

Ergotron 2x2 Monitor stand

ACOM Data 80GB Firewire 400 Drive

SmartStack 24-port switch

Did you screw your centre speaker to the wall? Looks like something hanging off of it?

Wanted to minimize the holes that I put in the wall to mount the display, its one big bolt into a stud and the display is hanging from a braided cable via the mounting bolts on the back.

it's funny seeing everyone's clean and tidy desks and rooms.. reality all of our desks look like this one or close to it.. Props for having the balls to post this!

Haha, yeah, as long as I can reach the keyboard and mouse easily then I'm not bothered about the rest of the desk!

I'm cringing at the sight of the dirty ice cream (?) bowl and sandwich plate. Surely they're not on your desk at this very moment, Jimmy? :D

It was chocolate ready brek actually. ;) And no, any plates and bowls are from the same day, I always take them back downstairs to wash at night. :)

Where did you find that Cupcake bank? 'Cos I wants it. NOW. :)

Thanks!

Haven't got a clue, the girlfriend got it for me for Christmas. However my flatmate did spot it the other day and asked whether I got it from New Look. So perhaps try there.

I decided to not be lazy and googled around for some alternatives for US based stores. Thank you though. :)
