Starcraft 2 Beta

I can easily defend against that. It's the really smelly cheese tactics that get to me like proxy barracks/reaper and proxy dual-gate/zealot. I've changed my play style to defend against such tactics but it's really annoying when you don't see it coming. I normally play league matches and people rarely resort to all out cheese tactics. It's only when I play custom games that I come across "unskilled" players.

I have skill! At being a noob.

not sure how true this is

Starcraft 2 Professional Edition with LAN support

http://www.sc2blog.com/2010/06/14/starcraft-ii-professional-edition-with-lan-support/

Following Blizzard?s lockdown of the StarCraft franchise, many were expecting a major announcement to come out of Korea regarding the future of major league StarCraft competition, one that is approved by Blizzard. The event is planned to have Blizzard executives in attendance, so this just might be what fans and progamers worldwide have been waiting for.

1. There will be an upcoming ?Ongame Net Starcraft 2 League,? or OSL2.

2. The sponsor of the first one will be Korean Air.

3. The first OS2L will have preliminaries all over the world and then the players will be gathered in Seoul for the Ro16.

4. There will be a ?Starcraft 2 Professional Edition? that will only be provided to tournament organizers, which will include LAN functionality. Only with a special account + password that gets activated will it work. Blizzard staff will be present at tournaments to assist. Apparently, this news was first told to the organizers of the Stars War tournament after it had ended.

Is it just me or have you guys also started losing interest in Starcraft 2 :/ Even the custom games are getting boring after a while.

weve seen it all before thats why, chances are most of the customs games will just be remakes or variations of older ones with a prettier graphics engine. That being said, i still enjoy warcraft 3 ALOT and dota was the biggest thing for me in that game. Im sure SC2 will have plenty of life in it, but i still miss the old battle.net interface

I doubt they'll add public channels. Blizzard wants the new Battle.net to be more socially-oriented than the old Battle.net. If they were to add public channels, people wouldn't use private channels or the private/party messaging system as much as they would if it wasn't added. Plus, the public channels in the old Battle.net were mostly used for spam. Of course, Blizzard will add it if enough people complain.

There will definitely be "chat channels" coming in one of the patches after the release. The system will be based around groups, where you will be able to join public channels that are based around your interests, which can be virtually anything. Also the system will include private chat channels (in plans for release in the first few months after the release), where you will be able to meet with your friends.

    • AMAZON needs to take total accountability for this.
    • Server Summit had a heap of announcements, ADCS changes are baller.
    • Nice, hope they *finally* fixed the issue with the NTFS driver where the system would completely brick during large file copies using the built in driver. It's been broken for years requiring me to use the older, slower, NTFS-3G FUSE driver.
    • Windows 11 KB5094126 BSODing, freezing, forcing BitLocker lockout, breaks OneDrive, and more by Sayan Sen Microsoft released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 last week as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. While Microsoft has so far not acknowledged any major problems with the release, some users online are running into problems. These range from OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. The most common one seems to be happening with HP systems wherein affected users say they hit 0xc0430001 BSOD (blue screen of death) error code after the KB5094126 update. We wonder if this could be related to the recent bug we covered on HP devices wherein the ongoing Secure Boot certificate updates are leading to similar issues. While we are not certain, users affected by this issue likely need to ensure that the boot.stl file is included on the installation media (such as a USB installer or ISO), if the above-mentioned dynamic updates are deployed. If this file is missing, computers may fail to boot from the installation media and could display the error 0xc0430001. This STL file is used by Secure Boot to verify that the boot files are trusted, so it must match the same Windows version and system architecture. To ensure the file is included, Microsoft recommends using the Update WinPE script, which automatically updates the image and handles the required files. Alternatively, you can manually copy the boot.stl file from the Windows\Boot\EFI folder on a Windows device and place it in the matching folder on your installation media before deploying the updated image. Aside from blue screening some users also note their systems have been freezing following the update. This could be happening to Lenovo PCs specifically. In the case of the OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, a user figured out that there could be a conflict with UAC. He explained: "Okay, so I did some digging, and in our environment KB5094126 breaks OneDrive and Dropbox in Explorer. I went through all our GPOs and found out that the combination of disabling UAC and having my user being a local admin breaks OneDrive in Explorer. ... If I enable UAC again, then it works, even with KB5094126 still installed." Hopefully, Microsoft will look into these issues. • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
