ok the me "lighting everything on earth cuz I happen to shoot basketball strobbed" jokes are getting old :(

not just basketball

Not gunna lie, the thought of trying to strobe the pitcher or 1st/3rd base popped into my head as an idea to try something cool :p

uhhhh Selfpwn ?! :shifty:

Hmm lets see.. 2x SB-900, 1x SB-800 (all 3 shot through softboxes) and 2 assistants with reflectors just for the looks. No?

god i wish haha

See crazzy, those will NEVER get old :p Just live with us mate :p or with the strobes in any case

Talking about flashes. Me and a friend are making a ringflash. So far it looks like this:

The basic construction

With Sigma 180 inside it for size comparison.

It took a while to create a hole since the bowl is not made of metal that is easily cut. So a heavy machinery was required.

We are still missing the essential part however, material for the diffuser. I guess we will have to try it with a piece of cloth until we find something more solid.

In the end it should look something like this (this is made by someone else)

Nice photo there man.

Little update on the ringflash

Inner side of the inner part has been painted matte (sort of) black

Holes (8) for mounting the diffuser. The basic and the easiest solution for holding the diffuser is using tie-wraps. However we are thinking of maybe using snap buttons in some way.

Hole for the flash. It will have soft material around the edges for flash protection and filling the gaps.

wont that reduce the power in operation as the flash is effectively "bouncing" around in the ring and then out? Surely silve or white would be better, no?

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
    • My issue is I can't access the forum on mobile if the site is set to Desktop mode on Vivaldi because it can't complete the Cloud flare am I a bot check! I know this is a Vivaldi issues as it has started happening on all cloud flare check sites, it's so annoying, I've reported it but no fix yet.
