I think this would have been better if you could see her eyes, otherwise it's good.

Yea I know man! she did have her eyes open, but the MUA put on these really long lashes and basically stopped all light getting to the eyes unless she opened them abnormally ha.

Teh colors! teh Colors! Not a fan of the orange cast on the bottom, but I imagine white balance was pretty hard to get because of sky/ gazebo lights/ street lights. Nontheless! Awesome shot!

This is a pretty simple shot, it's just a spoon in my kitchen sink receiving some water. The movement is frozen by firing a flash (Speedlight SB-600 @ around 1/8 power), the camera was in Bulb Mode.

Post included the transformation to B&W and is based around the "BW Base" preset for Lightroom.

How does Bulb benefit in this kind of situation? :s

I didn't wanna crop it to a crazy ratio as then it couldn't really be framed :/

I don't have wireless triggers or PC cables for the flash so I left the camera in bulb and used the test button in the flash. I did this to position the flash so that it would be in angles other than directly in front of the camera (I didn't want the light to reflect on the kitchen sink directly back to my lens).

who said anything about crazy ratios?

And I have a photo that I cropped to a ~16:5 ratio framed.
