So, how do you think people in the crypts are going to die? The Starks risen from the dead, or the walkers getting in somehow?

Having Ned get up and rip someone's head off would be funny.

At the end of ep2 we don't see the night king there, just a bunch of his generals, no dragon to.  If he's not actually there then I don't see the theory that the crypts aren't safe.     I think the theory that the night king is actually headed south with his dragon to ruin kings landing might be the case.

Wow, that was quite the thing.

Spoiler

On one hand, nothing I didn't think could happen happened, but what did happen was very good, so I'm satisfied. The only surprises were some of the people who lived, but I don't think anything major happened that many people didn't expect could happen. Happen happen happen. I guess kinda like Avengers. Very good on both counts. I won't say "I expected that" for most of it, but... nothing really surprising.

The end was like, "hm, haven't seen Arya for a few minutes.... and everyone else is accounted for..."

Also, did the music choices for the end seem odd to anyone else? It was distracting from the drama a bit with Bran.

Well, at least Sansa doesn't have to worry about feeding armies anymore.

Big spoilers below so don't click.

Spoiler

Really thought Grey Worm would bite it ... that was my only surprise.  Also thought either Sansa and/or Tyrion would die as they emerged from behind the crypt.

I really liked how the episode was "overwhelming" ... in that there were soooo many white walkers.  However, after Ayra and Melisandre talked I knew Ayra would end up slaying the Night King.  I guessed it would be around Bran ... though wasn't sure how it would happen.  I really liked how they did that scene.

I'm guessing Rhaegal is still alive.  Drogon made it ... really thought he was done for.  Where was Ghost?

I actually enjoyed the music choices.

Now we know why they are only 6 episodes, they couldn't afford 7.

Not sure HBO can afford anymore shows after that episode .... they'll probably get bought out by Disney.  haha

Spoiler

Music was still weird to me.

A little surprised that Jon, Dany, and Tyrion all survived. I woulda bet that one of them would die. All three did come close.

Whelp, guess the Dothraki and Unsullied had their story arch reach an end... there's like 6 people left to fight the Lannisters. And two of them are Lannisters.

Arya will face-steal and sneak her way in for the series finale, money on it.

Edit

Spoiler

Melisandre was the most surprising thing of the whole battle. She was kinda instrumental.

My biggest missed call is with both Mormonts dead. I really expected one to survive and carry on the house. RIP Mormonts, you were the bravest.

Spoiler

Yea, but Lyanna went out killing a giant.   I was waiting for that.  Funny how the was only 1 giant shown. I thought there were others.  Sucks Jorah died considering all he went through.

HBO is owned by AT&T in the end, they should have plenty of money.

Massive spoilers and rant. :)

Spoiler

I'll be honest, there wasn't enough main characters killed off. Arya killing the night king was cool but didn't make a ton of sense. It really seems like the writers are too worried about making it overly complicated for the mainstream. If Endgame shows us anything it is that complex plots can work.

As a book ######, i was really hoping for something a little more complex and concise. There was no real payoff for the Azor Ahai prophecy, the Prince that was Promised, a Song of Ice and Fire (Jon\Danny), the War for the Dawn, Jon's resurrection to basically not accomplish anything in the battle. So much story telling over 8 years on the show, longer with the books, all kinda gone to waste. We have no real motivation for the Night King other than "kill everyone" or any explanation of him at all.

Just seemed like lazy story writing. How about this? The Night King not burning from Drogon was cool, how about when Arya stabs him he just bleeds, doesn't die outright. Or even better, after walking up to Bran, he kneels to him instead. So many options for a twist and depth.

If we really spend the next three episodes dealing with Cersei, that would be pretty lame. The last "Long Night" lasted 50+ years, this one really just lasted 1 night???

Spoiler

The books and show are entirely different beasts now.

I was also disappointed with the Night King overall. He really had no substance, just a Big Bad to stab. Not even much in the way of mythos behind him. They could explain more of why he/they want to destroy life, they have very little background, and he just kinda dies, end of story. I thought he might be more involved in the greater story with the Iron Throne... it seemed like the bigger threat to "existence" was the whole "army of the dead from beyond the Wall". So far this makes the entire Watch seem less important. Also, the Dothraki are less than important. How Westeros-centric of them.

... does this mean that Cersei is a bigger badass than the Night King?

So, I liked the Episode. That being said:

1. I was really, REALLY hoping that Danny would swoop in to save Jon, BUT... that she would also use it as a test and flame him along with the undead to see if he burned. Would have been cool to see him survive it like the Night King.  :)

2. When Bran talked to Theon, I was like... a good man, my ass. He's a piece of ###### and deserves to die slowly.

3. I agree... where's the other dragon? We see him hit the ground, but it didn't seem like he was as bad off as Danny's dragon. Unless, the first ice dragon died and that was Jon's dragon back from the dead trying to eat him. <Shrug>

4. I can't believe Tyrion didn't click to the crypt dangers, especially when he was monologuing about seeing what the others may have missed.

Good ep, as far as who died and who didn't, we have 3 eps to go, a few of the minor characters are gone.  The series is called Game of Thrones, the night king is a external threat but the whole overarching plot is who gets the iron throne, if anyone.    The night king was never going to be the final boss.

Also I'm pretty sure we're down to just one dragon.  The one Jon was on took heavy damage in the fight with the other one, it's chest got gouged by the dead dragons clawed feet and so on.  I could be wrong but even the next ep preview only shows one.

I never, ever watch the Next Episode Preview. I don't want to know a damn thing. lol

I get that, I liked the after "in the episode" mini ep where the creators explain what they were going for.

Yea, I don't watch any of that stuff until the Season is completely over.

Matter of fact, I normally don't watch a single episode until an entire

season is over so that I can binge-watch the whole show at once.

This, however, is an exception. There's just no way I could stay away

from Spoilers for 6 whole weeks. Thus, each episode as it airs. lol

(Minus the previews and explanations. I'll still wait to watch those.)

This is a spoiler to your last paragraph ...

In the Episode 4 preview ... there are two dragons....

Found this on twitter ... think it is one of the best reactions to last nights episode.

Spoiler

It is like watching one of those reaction videos to live sports.  Cheered when Arya came jumping in...got a little quiet when the Night King caught her...cheered when she put the dagger in his leg.

Spoiler

It's interesting how epic this episode was and how it was the worst episode this season by a long shot. Worst in quite a while. The entire thing was a fight with strange music. I enjoyed the scenes in the crypt where conversations happened at least.

I thought Jon was gunna get dragon'd the F up (fire) and survive it. I thought the night king would have bowed to Bran and you find out Bran is like some super bad ass (like another poster said). I think the way Arya killed him was boring. Speaking of Arya, nearly the entire episode she acted like a wuss. Overall, yawn, I could have easily skipped this episode. Hopefully it gets better.

Spoiler

Guess I missed that when I saw the preview.  I guess it was just knocked out of the fight.   Anyways, if Jon would've just kept running at the night king he might have made it close in time, but yeah, plot demands he stop and stare for no reason.

@techbeck... who is Pip? Do you mean Sam? He probably survived, not sure though.

Spoiler

I liked the episode but kind of lame no main characters died in that nightmare of a battle... Seemed only a few secondary characters kicked it. Although I guess Jorah was kinda big.

Is that it for the whole white walker story line, seemed kind of abrupt.... I think I'll be disappointed if they don't touch on that story more.

    • Samsung Galaxy XR arrives in the UK with new AI and enterprise features by Fiza Ali Samsung is bringing its Galaxy XR headset to the UK several months after the device made its debut as the first headset built on Google's Android XR platform. The headset was first teased in late 2024 alongside Google's introduction of Android XR before making its commercial debut in 2025. Developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm, Galaxy XR combines mixed reality experiences with Gemini-powered AI features, allowing users to interact with digital content using voice, gestures, and visual inputs. While the hardware itself remains largely unchanged from the version Samsung unveiled last year, the company is using the UK launch to spotlight several software enhancements that have arrived through recent updates. Among the most notable additions is deeper integration with Google's ecosystem. Galaxy XR users can explore destinations through Google Maps' Immersive View, receiving AI-powered recommendations and contextual information from Gemini while navigating virtual environments. Furthermore, entertainment experiences have also expanded; users can watch 180-degree and 360-degree videos on YouTube, browse spatial content converted into 3D, and ask Gemini questions about on-screen content without interrupting playback. Samsung is also highlighting mixed-reality features such as Circle to Search, which allows users to identify real-world objects through hand gestures while using the headset's video pass-through mode. Another feature automatically converts photos and videos into spatial 3D experiences. Moreover, the headset now also supports Android Enterprise, allowing organisations to manage deployments using existing Android management tools. Annika Bizon, Vice President, Product and Marketing, Mobile Experience, Samsung UK & Ireland, talked about the device, stating: The headset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 platform and features dual 4K Micro-OLED displays. The tech giant says that users can expect up to 2.5 hours of battery life. Samsung also confirmed that Galaxy XR will continue receiving software and security updates as the company works alongside Google and Qualcomm to expand the Android XR ecosystem. Galaxy XR is now available for pre-order and will go on sale on 8 July. Customers interested in trying the headset before launch can visit Samsung KX in London and selected Samsung Experience Stores from 17 June. Finally, the company will also host a livestream on 19 June showcasing the headset's capabilities and answering questions from prospective customers.
