That looks good. And Anaron, about that new rule/policy change that Barney just posted.. so now people can post game spoilers before a game is even released or what? I don't care about screen shots and the like but I don't want to read spoilers about story line before a game is even out.

Doesn't really apply to this game in particular because we're all mostly playing for the multiplayer, but for other games it does.

Edit: What I'm refering to:

Spoiler tags are absolutely still necessary.

if you guy don't mind i added some more columns to the Google spreadsheet.

this is what i added

Timezone

Platform

Clan tag

Also i noticed there is an update already for the PC version

Oh god tomorrow's gonna feel like the longest day ever. Gotta make it through work, then hopefully my Amazon shipment will be waiting for me when I get home. Then I'm having people over to watch Lost, then I'm finally gonna be able to play the game. Hopefully there will be people I know online when I jump on around 10:30 PM EST

No Steam pre-load makes me sad. Looks like I'll be waiting just a bit longer, then. All the while staring jealously at the Direct2Drive users.

Same here. I really, really was hoping for a pre-load, in fact I purposely waited to check until just now as I thought maybe out of nowhere it would be there. Oh well, just gonna have to download it tomorrow I guess, it is saying approximately 14 hours for me on Steam which would mean 2:30 PM give or take.

I read a post from someone at DICE on the EA Uk beta forum that said they were trying to fix some issues with the Steam preload. So there's still hope for you guys.

My game shipped out a few hours ago, I should hopefully have it tomorrow morning, I can't wait!

thats why i got mine directly from EA. got mine installed and already played some of the single-player

Yeah my version for the 360 shipped as well and said it is on schedule tomorrow, so just have to wait and see which one comes first I guess. I usually play SP first even if the focus is MP, and I plan on more or less doing the same with this game, but I definitely want to play SP on the PC version, so I am hoping it is a relatively smooth process tomorrow.

Yeah, I saw that too. 14 hours means that it'll unlock at about midday in my timezone. Strange how some games (Supreme Commander 2, for instance) have pre-loads and some games don't. Also strange how it isn't unlocking at midnight like I thought it would.

I agree.

I too thought that they would be unlocking the game at midnight.

Woot just got my copy from Gamestop.. Suprisingly there were around 50 people there, but only 7 out of those 50 were picking it up for the PC!!!

Also, I got 2 codes for some reason.. There is the Gamestop code on the receipt and a code inside the box for the limited edition..

SP Campaign

Good

  • Hectic Action
  • Huge Environments
  • Pretty Good Graphics
  • Weapons are diverse and fun
  • Characters say some funny stuff
like when they were in Bolivia and haggard thought they were in Africa
  • Destructible environments are a nice touch

Bad

  • AI is just STUPID, they don't cover properly sometimes, they don't work as a team, one time I was right behind the guy, hit the wrong button to knife, threw a grenade and when it hit the guy in the head all he did was look down at it and exploded...
  • While i love the destructible environments, for some reason some buildings that you should be able to blow to peices you can't... makes no sense
  • For the graphics quality it doesn't run that good. It staggers. Bioshock. Mass Effect 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 all look better and run nicer then this game
  • I agree with IGN, the story is not EPIC at all, i got more pulled in by COD gun porn of a story
  • Played it on hard, and it wasn't that hard
  • very short campaign (but the gem of this game is multiplayer)
  • some voice acting sounds cheesy
  • does not support my custom resolution i made my nvidia control panel, had to set it manually in the .ini file

i give the single player campaign a 7/10. call of duty SP was WAYYYYYYYYYYYY better. but you can't judge a battlefield game by it's SP.

I just canceled my pre order with Amazon UK because not only was the final price reaching ?38.90 it had an estimated delivery date of 8th of March!!! The only reason I went with paid first class was in the hopes of getting it a day early but instead I get it three days later? For that price I could pop into my local GAME store and take it home the same day! Ridiculous! Amazon dropped the ball this time tbh.

So I signed in with my old account and of course it saved my soldier info, but ALSO it saved my buddy list, I still had all my buddies showing on my list!!!

yeah I think the gamestop code was for the limited campaign and for the M1A1, the game box code is for the other 4 unlocks

IMO, when it comes to gaming experience on PC, BC2 feels snappier than MW2, however not by much. It is not even comparable to Bioshock and ME2 which have one of the worst PC gaming experiences I've ever encountered in modern time. In ME2 you can't even change mouse sensitivity (yes you can select 3 different states).

Thanks DICE for not giving us some crappy console port.

So I can say what I wanted to y'day to Joker?

The game looks nice, shame the performance doesn't appear to have improved from beta yet.

:|

ty MI6Labs for the player name database. :)

The patch that improves performance isn't supposed to be out until tomorrow, I think. Well...today now.

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
