Finally got to Play and played for 3 hours. AMAZING. No lag, playing at 1280*768 @ High, no HBAO, 1x aa/af. Not too worried about aa/af but its amazing. About 52 fps average 43 at heavy fights but thats it.

Smooth as butter. I love DICE for focusing on PC too. God its such a good game. Btw guys Steam name is SikhDude and Soldier name is Sikh Feel free to add me

Was testing out Fraps and happened to catch a nice view. I love it XD It would be my background after I can remove "your team won" lol.

Finally got some time with the game and damn do I suck! With BC1 I played strictly Assault but thought this time I'll give Medic a run since I absolutely loved it in BF2. Why the hell are the med kits and defibs unlocks?? I mean, I get that they want you to progress but in every single round I was in nobody had Medic with the unlocks so nobody was healing.

As for connection issues, none. What a difference even from BF1943, which was a disaster at release. Hopefully I can get with a squad consistently and get some strategy going because right now I'm all over the place!

CoD didn't have a ****ty login system implemented by EA.

No, CoD has a ****ty matchmaking system that picks bad hosts, boots you to lobby constantly, removes people from party, sometimes rarely adds people to your party (god knows how that happens), won't let you pick a map so you don't get stuck with Wasteland, etc. Of course CoD4 was brilliant it had dedicated servers featuring low lag and the ability to map vote and for you to choose which map/server to join. However this isn't really relevant is it ;)

I have every faith in DICE that once these few days have passed everything will be running a lot smoother.

GAME apparently send them by 2nd class post now so will arrive tomorrow. :/

You're still getting it before release date!

I ordered mine from Amazon with Prime and not been shipped yet, Amazon truly does suck at pre-orders and delivery but I am getting the Xbox 360 version for ?23.39 so whoop :D

Just to update on my previous problem with it not accepting my serial number: A re-tried it after restarting and just kept shutting down, logging in, and restarting. Eventually it worked fine. Not sure what was going on but I since was playing for a few hours and quite enjoy the game. Running medium settings at 1680X1050 it still looks great and I don't know my fps, but it's smooth as butter on my q6600 with 4 gig ram and 8800 gt with auzentech prelude.

I did however have a weird problem where I accidentally teamkilled a guy because he didn't have anything above his head indicating he was on our team and he was wearing US clothes (we were russia). Only happened once but it was definitely an oddity

It's because the servers are getting hammered across the board, logging in, servers and the whole shabang is going up and down.

How did you get so many points playing a medic? Defibs aren't unlocked right away :|

The defibrillator is unlocked from the start in ranked matches. As for the med kit, you unlock that with 1400 points - just like the ammo bag and repair kit (1200 and 1000 respectively).

Game hasnt even processed my order yet, so i cancelled and bought it on steam, preloading now. Its only ?5 more than i was paying for the game plus express delivery and i prefer all my games to run from steam anyway. At least this way i will definately have the game on release date.

I'm probably going to hold off for BF3, but I do see a lot of you playing on PC here, I loved my BF2 PC days.

Getting a little excited, but I'll wait a bit on this one.

And OMG at the fuss kicked up over waiting like 24 hours. I've talked about games a week before street date, but it was the two times on the PS3 where I managed to snag LBP/MGS4 early off ebay and I posted proof. You know yourself when your copy is pirated and if it is and you can't post proof just enjoy it to yourself and wait till it's clear to talk about it here - Why get warned over something so stupid?

or you can use my little trick and play today >.>

Which makes sense, cause I only play ranked matches. I would not have even known the defrib was locked.

    • Password Safe 3.72.0 by Razvan Serea Password Safe is a password database utility. Like many other such products, commercial and otherwise, it stores your passwords in an encrypted file, allowing you to remember only one password (the "safe combination"), instead of all the username/password combinations that you use. Once stored, your user names and passwords are just a few clicks away. Using Password Safe you can organize your passwords using your own customizable references—for example, by user ID, category, web site, or location. You can choose to store all your passwords in a single encrypted master password list (an encrypted password database), or use multiple databases to further organize your passwords (work and home, for example). And with its intuitive interface you will be up and running in minutes. PasswordSafe was originally designed by the renowned security technologist Bruce Schneier and released as a free utility application. Password Safe 3.72.0 changelog: Fixed bugs Improved font scale handling - should resolve font size issues on high resolution displays. GH1749 In the Master Password Setup window, "Show Master Password" is no longer truncated on some displays. GH1092, SF1595 Size and position of main window is now correctly restored on scaled displays. SF1630 Keep password expiry date when both password and password expiry are changed; don't clear a non-recurring expiry when the password's changed. SF1628 Custom values can now be copied to the clipboard in read-only mode via Ctrl-C and right-click->Copy Value. New features GH1196 Dark display mode support: Password Safe now supports the system display mode, as well as setting the mode directly via Manage->Options->Display->Display Mode. This change also updates the general "look & feel" of the app to the current Windows theme. Known limitations: The Date picker and keyboard shortcut controls do not switch to dark theme The Customize Toolbar dialog does not switch to dark theme Custom Field support has been added to the more advanced features: Filters XML and Text import and export Comparison, Sync and Merge databases SF938 Custom field values may now be selected by name and copied via a "Copy Custom Field Value..." submenu in the entry context popup menu. • I've got a SoundBlasterX G6 that I use in my streaming setup. Sounds great to me and I've had zero issues with the ancient software package so far in Win11. That G6 has 7.1, Dolby, fully working SPDIF and since it's a USB device it's outside of my rig so I don't have to worry about EMF distortion. Looks like for now this is a pass for me as I think I have better hardware....
    • How do you connect 5.1 Speakers to this thing?
    • I agree with both of you... It's absolutely imperative that science is completely based on actual proven facts and hard evidence and is not considered dogmatic in any way. Science is not a religion and it will never be, and that's exactly how it's supposed to be.
