And OMG at the fuss kicked up over waiting like 24 hours. I've talked about games a week before street date, but it was the two times on the PS3 where I managed to snag LBP/MGS4 early off ebay and I posted proof. You know yourself when your copy is pirated and if it is and you can't post proof just enjoy it to yourself and wait till it's clear to talk about it here - Why get warned over something so stupid?

I really hope the server issues are resolved quickly (on the PC version). I imagine it'll be worse tomorrow, with the game being released in Europe tomorrow.

are stats available yet on battlefield.com?

Checking now, but the site is slow as hell, and one of the announcements is actually the site is slow because of traffic. I am going to guess no right now, EU and UK still not in so I am saying no.

@DL - thats interesting about it feels like 2 different games from 360 vs PC. I can't believe you actually did better with the joystick over the Mouse/Keyboard !! You traitor!!! LOL

So stats should be working in a little while at Soldier Hopefully we will start seeing a sig generator soon after!!!

All i gotta do now is figure out how to link my 2142 account, i contacted EA support but im still waiting for a reply.

Please post your resolution.. I thought it took mine but it didn't. Also when I tried to enter in my 1942 key it says its already been used!!! Uh I have the original!!

It couldnt find my BF2 account which i know works so ive had to supply them with my 2142 information.

Well I even said to the guys I was playing with no doubt I am more precise on the PC. No doubt. But I think going from the PC to the 360 helped me actually be more precise with the controller. I also think the auto aim helps a lot. :laugh: Right now I cannot say I am that good on either really, I was honestly just getting warmed up, on the PC I think it even said my skill level was a -3 or something like that. But I think total I played about 10-12 rounds on both yesterday, and only played the same maps maybe three times. But as I said, the main thing was playing with a squad of people I know and who talk as opposed to playing with a squad of randoms and no one talks. It is sad honestly. I know someone mentioned Ventrillo before, but honestly I used my mic in BF2 just fine. Not sure what the difference would be here. I understand why clans and stuff would want to use TS or Vent, I do, but if I am just joining servers with other randoms on the PC, they should be talking.

And the EA site finally loaded, asked me to choose a Persona, which I was afraid of, that means I may not be able to get stats for both platforms. Or it may be hard to.

Least you've still got the case, I've lost my 1942 (AND EXPANSIONS!), Nam and BF2 (inc special forces) boxes. Though I've still got 2142 oddly enough. Still can't assign 1943 to my account either.

Anyway. I have bigger issues, like where the hell my game is.

I know it sucks having to do all that. I guess if you haven't played in a while for some reason it must think the account is not active or something.

I didn't play BF2 in a very long time and I was able to add it. Actually, I won't even bother adding it as I'd have to download it through the EA Store. I already have the M1 Garand which is basically the only benefit to being a veteran.

I know, it registered my BF2, Modern Combat & Bad Company 1 without issue, just 2142 would not add.

Tried playing last night, and I kept getting kicked from the server for either a Punkbuster error, a lost server connection, or an error with EA online. If you check the ticker at the bottom of the menu screen (PC version) they say that they know about the connection problems and they're working on a solution. Maybe I'll just leave this for a couple days while they iron out all of the kinks.

That Veteran thing looks intriguing. I'll probably go enter my 1942 key, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to go through the trouble of installing BF2 and BF2142 again, especially considering I forgot my login info for both games.

I forgot my login info for BF2 but I added it. Trial and error ftw. I didn't run into any issues other than some lag (which is totally understandable). And I know they have really been marketing the game, but check this out, when I went to go check out the latest Zero Punctuation (still need to watch, it is Bioshock 2) this is one hell of a page advertisement. LOL

I would certainly advise a manual update after install and before you play - it is Punkbuster, so it can tend to go a bit FUBAR now and again. The last thing you want is getting booted out of your first match :laugh:
