Thats dissapointing, keep getting "connection to game server has been lost" problem i was having in the beta that was supposedly fixed. Waste of £35.

I covered this a page or two back and plenty of people have reported it, it's just because of EA's authentication servers are being hammered these days ( obviously )

and it basically won't let you connect to any servers, unless you get lucky. That's what I assume anyway, because I can't connect for **** either :rofl:

Its nothing to do with VPN as i turn it off once steam is loaded. Its something to do with TCP Timeout but i have an o2 router that you cant modify anything like that. Not buying a router just to play this game i dont have this issue with any other game i play online.

Check the Be* site, they have info on how to fix those bugs.

The one we've rented out is:

Killer Creations.co.uk :: trickery.net BC2 Server

Few of us older folk from Wireplay/Bygames (any one worth their salt who played UT99/CS will know those GSPs!) put £170 for 6 months. :p

Ok first impressions not great.

Started the game after installing the update, registered my unlock code as I ordered the Limited Edition, it confirmed the registered code was correct. I then loaded into a game of Conquest (amazing mode!) and was unable to select any unlocks. I then proceeded to play engineer and attempt to get some unlocks after playing a game or two I unlocked the repair gun thingy, again I wasn't able to select it. Realising my account / game was bugged I logged out and exited the game and relaunched it. After getting back into the game I was rank 0, 0XP and 0 unlocks and my code can no longer be redeemed. Exited the game again and reloaded and I have my old XP back and unlocks but am unable to select anything and unable to join any games keep having constant connection lost when trying to join a server. So far so good ;)

Fired an email off to EA support, hoping to hear something back soon. Anyone had anything similar happen?

Again; It's a server issue! Tons of people are reporting their LE keys aren't doing jack ****, because the EA servers are getting hammered and aren't registering players properly, awarding the right items etc.

Some also say you need to be at least level 2 to get these items, give that a bash.

Roger captain! Will try and get in game again and tackle it :)

Wasn't sure if it was too common, had a quick scout around on the EA forum but seeing as the forum only displays about 10 threads per page after 3 pages of looking I gave up after not finding a single sencably named thread :p

Figured it was mostly server issues, still not the best experience ;)

I can connect and play for 15-20 mins but my retard friendly router that o2 give out has TCP Timeout set too low so i get kicked and you cant change any settings like that in the o2 firmware, DICE had supposedly fixed for retail but obviously not.

Happens with any game. WoW still has issues on patch day due to traffic. Not much you can do about 100's of thousands of people hammering the servers all at once. :x

It won't be fixed. There is still an issue with the steam browser killing the router even after years!

Time to get a refund then.

Good luck with that if the game is opened. :F

You could just look for the Be* Usergroup wiki on google though and fix the problem so you'll never have the same issue again because I guarantee it will crop up again for another game.

Oh god I know, I remember the BC launch, the portal party went smoothly until some one polymorphed the other faction and then all out war occurred. Poor server never stood a chance. :D

Hoping server issues get rectified soon, Conquest was an absolute blast when I was playing it. Has your copy turned up Spookie?

ya, get a refund for the steam one and then get the boxed version and you shouldn't have the problem described

Its not a Steam issue i was having this problem in the beta and that wasnt steam powered. But ill have to wait till tomorrow now as its not actually released yet :|

25 different servers and;

<Snip>

:(

Looks like I shall join the club as well, think I have tried about 25 now over the past hour :/

Scroll up. :p

Nice ;)

Somehow I managed to miss half of this pages replies whilst reading xD

EDIT

OMFG I just got in a game!!!

EDIT Number 2

GTFO it just kicked me for PBINIT failure... damn it!

Here's a tip: Connect to a server from your history. Updating the main server browser just won't work with so many people trying at once. That's what I did yesterday and it seemed to work. I just hope it works today.

    • What I like about Paint is using it almost exclusively for cropping and resizing images I get elsewhere--it's quick, easy and cheap... I keep it glued to my taskbar, in fact. Also, the clipping tool comes in handy, as well (hit print scrn on the keyboard and it activates immediately.)
    • I still remember it fondly today. It was so cool to work in 64-color Half Bright mode and 4.096-color HAM mode (interlaced) when x86 was still in 4-color CGA or 16-color EGA low res. C= never realized what it had until it was far too late--the failure of C= was the failure of its top management. The C= Amiga was 20 years ahead of its time, I always thought. It didn't hurt that in only 512k of chip memory, the Amiga could preemptively multitask when Apple was still doing gray scale graphics on tiny screens and along with everyone else was doing cooperative multitasking (running more than one app at a time in resident memory, but you could only run one of them at a time--had to manually switch between them.) I had a ball with AREXX scripting running between programs that had AREXX ports so that when you sent other applications data and instructions, those running applications could process the same in real time to output! Memories...
    • I'm not sure about that, but it at least "does" a version of 7.1 that this brand new card doesn't....

    • I can barely recall getting web results from a file search... I must've turned it off long ago. 26H2 is Insider's Preview build 26300.8697, which I am running, atm. It is not available for people running the standard commercial builds of Windows--only for the beta test Insider's group. But anyway, as mentioned in the thread, this feature has been around for a long time...
