just hade a great round getting from rank from 9 to 10. later server connection lost. and updated my stats and it still said rank 9. will it be updated later or did or forget my session?

It'll probably update later. I got my rank reset to 1 once, almost gave me a heart attack (figuratively of course :p ) but it turned out it had saved my progress anyway.

So I thought I would start levelling up other classes, and man I suck. I find it so hard to let go of my medic + M60 combo. Couldn?t get any kills, switched back and started killing as normal.

Only thing that comes close to the M60 is the XRM8 Prototype, but the clip size is much smaller than the M60 which isn?t a really problem, expect for the constant reloading!

However, I do want to level up the other classes, so I sense a lot of dying coming on... :(

I was checking my stats (in-game) and noticed a 6 beside veteran status. It should be 4.

EDIT: Ah, I see why. My brother has a soldier on my account with BF Heroes and BC1 tied to it. That accounts for the extra 2 veteran ranks. It's a bit weird though. That would mean he also has a veteran rank of 6.

It?s cleared QA for both non-Steam and Steam.

This is a small update for a bug that was found the same day that we released the previous patch.

Changes:

? Server browser downloads 100 entries instead of 500 in a chunk ? this makes the ?Cancel? button more responsive

? Fixed crash during server browser refresh

? Low-level networking library switched back to the optimized version (the game client was temporarily running with one that had more debugging logic in it)

? Localization fixes in the scoreboard

Might fix some of the issues I've been having over the weekend, due today.

They made unlocks WAY to easy to get imo. Should of made it like Bf2 a pain in the ass, having everything unlocked makes me a sad panda.

No way! They made BF2 so hard to level up and get unlocks. I basically gave up trying to level up in that game because it took so long.

I agree with this ^

BF2 made me give up due to the unlock time. I was playing and playing and still not making a dent in the amount of points required to unlock something. Eventually I stopped playing. BC2 however rewards me almost every time I play with a new unlock which I really like. It keeps the game fresh by allowing me to change my gear every so often for something different.

I am very much in favor of having lots and lots of different things to unlock vs only having a few things that take forever to get.

The best thing is, even when you have all the unlocks, getting stars for them all is a lot of fun!

They need to nerf the M60. I see more medics not being medics. It is very frustrating when you are dying and they wont even give you a health pack. Many just pick the medic kit to get kills. In real life, the medic would never carry a Light MG, M4 at best. They have one job and one job only, heal, but noone wants to do that, I play recon and enjoy popping that red beret, makes for a great target :)

Okay glad to read I was not the only one having issues connecting yesterday, I just did not have the time to come post in here to say so. Hopefully that is sorted out sooner than later, as I am ready to play again since I beat GoW 3 and Metro 2033 is just not that good.

It's getting nerfed in an upcoming patch and yeah it's VERY frustrating when you're clearly a fart away from death and a medic just runs past you. :/

How do you know that? I'm not doubting you I'd just like to read about this patch if there is any information on it.

ever since i got my new cpu i have completely ignored ffXIII and i don't see myself going back to it anytime soon, which means even if i did pick up GoW3 i would probably ignore that too... well done DICE

As a Medic I'm always dropping med kits everywhere, especially with the long range spec. I also revive whoever I can to keep the front line pushing forward, that's how I get most of my points.

That is what people do not understand. This game rewards the proper use of a class. I just started playing around with the Assault kit. When ever I see my team or especially my squad hunkered down or at a flag, I drop a resupply. I get so many points for doing nothing really. Recon, I spot everything, call in mortar strikes, sneak in behind enemy lines so my squad can spawn on me and take points etc.... It is all about the class and how it is used.

Agreed. I used to play BF2 a lot and even I barely made progress with the unlocks. I think I only had one or two. The fact that you're rewarded in a fair manner is what made me like BC2. You're basically rewarded for the time you put into playing online.

Do the stars increase the effectiveness of the unlock?

No, stars are for points only.

What ****es me off is when you're a medic and when people hop in a vehicle and drive off leaving you in the dust.

I mean seriously.. WHAT THE !?!?! We're supposed to be in the front lines and you leave us in the back running up... then you  that you're dying?! EXCUSE ME .. PICK US UP NEXT TIME!!

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
