Invested over 10 hours in RDR over the weekend and... Yeah it's

not

poop. :p

Getting a bit ****ed off by the

marksman quest though. Being required to shoot 5 birds from a moving train doesn't sound that much of an issue. But when there is only one train which covers the entire map. It's a pain in the arse to keep up with it! :p

Think I'll be avoiding this thread soon, hate having to wait 3 extra days for a release!

I'd say I'm fairly invested in to the game and there hasn't been much that is spoilerific yet. It's very methodical in comparison to GTA IV.

Report ? Red Dead Redemption banned in UAE

According to MEGamers, Red Dead Redemption?s the latest title to be banned in the UAE.

A retailer in the region?s apparently confirmed a ban for the Rockstar San Diego western, but a ?no comment? was given by the game?s distributor in the region, Red Entertainment.

Neither Rockstar or parent company Take-Two have commented on the situation as yet.

If true, the game joins Heavy Rain, Dante?s Inferno, Darksiders and others as being prohibited in the Arab state.

RDR?s due out in the US tomorrow, with a UK and European release on Friday.

In the more than 1,100 articles I have written for this newspaper since 1996, I have never before called anything a tour de force. Yet there is no more succinct and appropriate way to describe Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar rides again.

MP wasn't enabled, online streams have been pulled day & night by Rockstar lawyers, SP gameplay was limited and they give it a 9.7?

Jesus reviews are so bull**** these days. :(

*sigh*

No doubt R* sent them all giant cheques of millions of ?/$/?, or could it not just be a good game that these reviewers have all enjoyed?

GTA IV: heralded as the "BEST THING EVARS" by reviews. Turned out to be a turd.

The game is good but it is no way deserving of such high scores. I'm allowed to say this since, you know, I played this without being paid and/or had restrictions on my play through time. ;)

You guys are such cynics when it comes to R* lol

I'm always a cynic when people are forced to jump through hoops to review a game, another case in point: MW2.

Who is reporting they were limited to the amount of time to review RDR?

Moving an embargo time is nothing new and certainly not a reason to lynch a company over review scores. You think R* is going to order them to change the embargo time and that will push review scores up?

GTA4 turned out to be a "turd" for you, not for everyone.

Same for this, just because you don't agree with the scores from reviewers that might actually really enjoy the game, doesn't automatically mean they have been paid for a higher review.

But if your parent company is pushing a major pre order bonus and running the magazine with a tonne of the marketing for the game that's just a coincidence right? I'd take word of mouth from a friend over some illiterate over paid hack.

Though I have to admit being able to hogtie a nun then putting her on the train tracks to get gibbed by a passing train gets an instant point from me. :F

But at the end of the day that still has absolutely no effect on the score. If Barbie's Horse Adventure was **** and they had 3 hours to play & review, you think they'll give it 10/10?

No, it doesn't work like that.

If money exchanged hands then yes you'd have something to go on here with your rants. Paying off the entire publishing industry? Yeah, not a chance.

Trash a game that deserves it, like Lost Planet 2 or Skate 3 :yes:

      WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
