Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2010

Odd, it never crashed for me.

What I am getting is a lot of texture flickering/ghosting. I'll be racing down the road and all of a sudden, a bunch of trees and bushes will be flickering all over the road. Anyone else getting that?

Yeah that happened to me too, only once though, can't replicate it. Don't know WTF is up with that.

Is this pretty much the same as Burnout but with more dedicated vs stuff?

Yes and no.

It's very different from Paradise in some ways (you never need to roam the city at any point, but it's still a beast in the crashing others department.)

Graphics are awesome and audio is much more diverse.

Everything I've played of Criterions since my first (Burnout: Revenge on the 360) I have absolutely loved. These guys make a beast of a racer.

standoff79 if anyone needs some peeps on their autolog

(Yeah, I didn't realize there were several more pages in here, sorreh :) )

It looks really good wouldn't mind getting my hands on this too. Going back to the old roots is good unlike some NFS titles they came out with...well, they wasn't really good.

EA have FINALLY acknowledged that there is an issue with certain Quad Core and Six Core CPUs: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/4003689.page

Pathetic QA if you ask me

maybe they didnt havemulti core cpus to test it on :D

You are having me on!

Anyone know where the demo for Hot Pursuit went on XBOX 360 Games Marketplace? I can't find it anymore... :(

They pulled it on November 9th, a week before its North American release.

Good that they know about the Core issues with those processors. Do you think they will fix it now or wait for the release and make a patch?

I don't know about your locale, but in North America, Europe and Australia the game is already out. They didn't pick up on that issue at all during QA. Thus, boffins at Criterion are scrambling to patch it ASAP.

Weirdly my game has run perfectly apart from the very first time when it ran like dog dirt.

Is this game all about events? Can I not do some free-riding where cops still want to chase me? :(

I don't know about freeriding with NFS:HP members online but I think that you can freeride in one of the events which you can learn (such as shortcuts) while on the way so you will know what to do before you start an event as a racer or a cop.

I would love to have freeriding option with NFS:HP users so I can race/chase one of the users or two like we usually do in Test Drive Unlimited.

Maybe there are some answers on the internet for this freeriding stuff in NFS:HP game.

I have had this game in my possession since it came out thanks to Gamefly, and between first Call of Duty, now Assassins Creed: Brotherhood AND Donkey Kong Country Returns, nevermind Gran Turismo 5 tomorrow, I just will not play it anytime soon. With that said, I am strongly considering using the option "keep It Now" from Gamefly as right now it is $44.99 plus I have a $5 credit. Now I know the smart thing to do would be to play it first, which I do plan on doing, but I have always been a big fan of the NFS series, so pretty sure I will like it. Might even try checking it out tomorrow at some point before I get GT5, just seems like it came out at a really bad time, as there is some serious competition from all types of genres.

    • I bought this game. Played it for an hour, and then got a refund from Steam. Not a fun game at all.

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets another hotfix for one of the game's online modes by Taras Buria Recently, Forza Horizon 6 players discovered an interesting glitch that allowed farming a crazy amount of in-game credits in a few minutes. Playground Games quickly pulled the plug on the exploit by disabling one of the game's online modes, and today, the studio is rolling out another hotfix. In my review, I complained about the game still showering gamers with cars, credits, and wheelspins. As such, earning money in Forza Horizon 6 is not a particularly difficult task. You simply have to play the game, crazy, I know. However, people still found an easier path to becoming a billionaire in Forza Horizon 6. All you had to do was purchase the Hummer EV, install a specific tune, shift in reverse while going at about 15 MPH, hit a wall, and get launched into the stratosphere at the speed of light. While mid-air, launch Eliminator and quickly get eliminated. Boom, the game just awarded you with a few million in-game credits. Initially, Playground Games disabled Eliminator to prevent people from farming credits. Now, following the release of the first balancing update, developers are rolling out a new update that re-enables Eliminator and gives users a free McLaren Sabre as a gesture of goodwill. Here is the changelog: One critical issue remains unpatched, though. There are quite a few reports of the game wiping gamers' saves, and developers are still looking into that. To avoid potential data loss, Playground Games recommends taking one of the steps outlined in a previously published support article.
