My copy officially shipped yesterday afternoon, at the latest I'll have it on monday :D

If its CE i hate you SO MUCH RIGHT NOW. I got to pick it up at work and its AMAZING. Just the actual feel of a proper PC Collectors Edition in years made me happy let alone knowing we have all of our pre orders + some extras(not many AT ALL) is making me even more anxious to just leave with one and not play it till release day lol.

I WANT THIS GAME SO BAD. 4 more dayssssssssssss

I put in my Pre-order today.. there didn't have any CE's left.. so I just went for a Normal Edition. Saved money too. lol.plus I'm getting free swag at Midnight release. 2 SCII Hats, 1 limited edition poster and a noise canceling headset.

There's a reason that Starcraft is the best selling game and a reason that it is called Limited Collector's Edition. So in other words, you probably won't find it.

So what you're saying is if you have a collectors edition reserved hold onto it for 3 or 4 months and sell it for $300-400 and buy a regular edition for yourself to play on? That's what I've been thinking about doing.

I meant he won't find it on Store shelves lol. but if you want to do that, go ahead.

Preordered it way back in May from Amazon. :) Didn't know it's region locked then so now I can only play on American servers instead of Australian/Asian it's gonna be lagtastic for me. :(

you could just register the key to an australian/asian account and download the client , from what i understand the keys can be registered to any region its the account/client that needs to be the same. if they dont match you wont be able to login.

Thanks for organizing all of that information, Anaron :).

I'm getting more and more excited for this game now. I have my pre-order with Future Shop, so hopefully it doesn't take too long to reach my hands (I've already accepted the fact that I probably won't get it on the 27th). I plan on making August the month of Starcraft II, since I have to go back to the University in September. I even plan on making this the first game on my Macbook Pro. I've been good at not installing games on it, since it's my work machine, but this is just too tempting.

I WANT POSTER!?

Also @tragedy: Im buying 2 collectors. 1 to COLLECT and 1 to open and enjoy. But most likely in 6 months im gonna end up selling it or right when demand is high and quantity is NONE.

****ing bank on that **** man.

Places on amazon already have it listed as $150 and more.

Thanks for the link, happylemon. I'm glad they added those challenge missions. I can't wait to master microing. I don't even know all the hotkeys by heart (yes, shame on me).

WHAT. THEY SHOULD COME NATURAL OH YOUNG ONE.

And you call yourself a gold player, n00b.

Haha jk, it came naturally to me since ive hotkeyed first SC, both AOE and expansions, etc.

Oh, so today we got our total shipment in, blizzard/coporate went so far to only ship as many reserved as possible. NO EXTRAS AT ALL. We were expecting some since 9 people got in on the pre order before it left the system and we got exactly 9 copies. Funny thing, its 6 per boxes, put in landscape and yeah, they bothered to take 3 out and pack the hell out of it with packing bubbles or whatever you want call them and yeah, i was very surprised they did that, as was my boss because usually they just ship the quantities instead of having to break open a box. ALL the stores only got as many reserved.

Funny thing sales are final and 48 hour policy will be held strong. If you dont pick up / call for your collectors in 48 hours, its fair game. Seeing this, im picking up a collector as soon as it becomes available. I got mine on pre order and then another one just to hold it as a collectors item, or sell it later.

But, to comment on the Collectors Edition Box, its AMAZING. A TRUE PC Collectors Edition. Its Nice and Big, Heavy, Strong. Doesnt feel like cheap cardboard. I like it. Cant wait to open it up tuesday morning.

I just wish the collector's edition would include some nice figurine to put in my office.

Also, the lame WoW pet means nothing to me... I don't even play WoW.

+1

Yeah that WoW tie-in is stupid. I don't play WoW.

I remember when I bought War3, I got a free figurine with the game and I didn't even have to buy the collector's edition.

Yeah that's one thing about it.. there isn't something I can put my hands on in real life.. lol.. I guess I made the right choice, saved some money and went for the Standard Edition.

I thought the 176 page art book should be pretty sweet. I'd pay $20 just for that.

    • (Topic to get the juices flowing this Sunday morning!...) Actually, the situation has almost nothing to do with "lack of skills", especially since assembly-line skills can be taught to anyone, including Americans, certainly. Rather, the inadequacy-to-impossibility of large-scale tech manufacturing in America today, and the reasons why America finds tech manufacturing completely onerous in the 21st century, has to do with politically driven laws amid a plethora of non-scientific, utterly politicized "science-fact" that is patently false, punitive business taxation at every turn, an array of judicial fines of unimaginable scope and complexity, and, last but not least, American unionization strictures that serve to actually slay job creation and hobble all such manufacturing endeavors in America before they can get off the ground. Globalism emerged, they tell us, as the needed answer to American hubris and an unholy American drive to excel. Unless one is buried under mounds of political propaganda, it's easy to see the absurdity of labeling the employees of SpaceX, for instance, as "unskilled labor"... Etc. ad infinitum. At one time in the recent past, American manufacturing prowess was the envy of the world in a wide variety of technical fields! The current federal and state government roadblocks against America becoming competitive globally in tech manufacturing are considerable, it's true, as anyone with a working brain knows. But remarkably, that is only half the story! The other half of the story is, of course, the corporations themselves... Chinese tech manufacturing is simply unassailable in terms of profits, because the Chinese government wants to see its tech manufacturing second-to-none globally so that no companies/nations can compete in terms of ROI, and China has completely succeeded in that goal. Let's tic-off a few things: *Chinese tariff policies are set according to what is considered best for Chinese business, Chinese employees, and the Chinese people. Huge difference with how things are done with tariffs in the US--as the US government (SCOTUS in this case, Congress in others) plainly feels that tariffs are "unfair" for the limited number of citizens who may pay them, whereas nothing is "unfair" when Congress considers the Personal Income Tax rates to be infinitely hike-able, along with infinitely enlarging annual budget deficits. *The Chinese government boldly subsidizes Chinese companies to artificially amplify their profits. *The Chinese government deliberately refuses to avidly demonize Chinese businesses and does not consider Chinese businesses "the enemy", so very unlike American (D)s these days. *Chinese labor laws and businesses are allowed to set their own labor policies according to what Chinese companies consider is best for companies and their employees... Simply put, American workers in tech manufacturing are not allowed to set their own labor policies! It is the height of hypocrisy for Americans to decry working conditions in China while simultaneously ensuring that American products are manufactured in China, not in the US, simply to maximize profits. There is nothing wrong with making a profit, of course, absolutely nothing. But there is plenty wrong with attempts to normalize hypocrisy of this kind! But rank hypocrisy and the (D) party in the US are longtime bedfellows... The current government in Washington is working overtime to see if it can toss out the horribly poor, failed economic policies of the past, while the (D)s still in Washington work very hard to bring back the stupidity whenever possible. With the right policies in place, America can be an infinitely competitive manufacturer.
