Never played the first. I am playing through the single player now and its pretty fun. Not even gonna try online till I beat the game lol.

you will find advanced challenges to be immensily hard. I cant even pass the one with ghosts :( i kill 70(out of 125) people before time runs out

oh new patch ..

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty - Patch 1.0.2

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where campaign mission victories would not always trigger properly.

Fixed an issue where some players were unable to access single-player features.

use the time before you hit ready to look for the highest zerg areas that you can hit easly then with the ghosts after you started the challenge as soon as you hit cloak on the ghosts move all of them to different places on the map and launch nukes 1 after the other then use the ravens to set auto turrents and seeker missles.

Just bought the game today :D.. Installing it as I type this :).

EDIT: This sucks a**, I installed it just fine, but I cant update it; it says do I want to update it, I click Ok and it does nothing except keep trying to load the game..

REDIT: Works now.. :p

Thanks i will try that!

I've finally completed the sp. It was a blast. It indeed has evolved compared to it's predecessors.

Oh and last mission was hard...i had only a few units left (battlecruiser, few captured zergs, scv and few soldiers), and

artifact

had 80 or so lives when it reached 100% :D The last few percentages were intense!!!!

LOL Anaron. I played SC a few days prior to buying my copy of SC2 and the experience was decent. Like you said, the graphics are...my goodness... I found it hilarious that I found these graphics amazing back when I was like 10 but I wasn't hard to impress at the time. :D

I'm still in the practice league; getting my feet soaked. :) I'm not very good but I put up a fight nonetheless. I'm a Pro-Protoss Macro player. If you are interested in befriending me and inviting me to any league games, feel free. My IGN is the same as my forum name, "Skulltrail". I have a mic as well.

i'm up for 3v3 or 4v4

I'll go!! Seriously though, I'll give it a shot. I haven't the most experience but I don't think I'm bad.. and I'm a quick learner.

I totally suck lol..but I'll try!

I'm complete suck 63 Bronze so if anyone is up for noob games hit me up.

Anaron, im in if you want. You have me already on sc2.

So im down for 3's or 4's.

Awesome! Check your inboxes. :)

If its 13", you should be fine with medium/high settings, but if its 15" screen, then just medium should be fine.

Umm, what does the screen size have to do with performance? It's the resolution that matters and most 15" laptops have the same ****ty 1280x800 resolution as 13" laptops

1280X800

With that card I guess a custom setting between Medium and High

Awesome! Check your inboxes. :)

I'll join in!

Well, I can't stand playing on my laptop on a resolution that is not native. ;)

I understand and agree with that, what I meant is that the resolution is not related to the screen size. There are 13" laptops with 1920x1080 screens (Sony VAIO Z ) and 15" laptops with 1280x800 screens (most of them, especially the sub-$800 kind).

Hey guys, I need some advice on a technical difficulty I'm experiencing. My PC sometimes goes into an irrecoverable sleep mode while running SC2. Hard reset is the only solution to get it out of "coma" :D It has cost me a couple of HDD check ups and a full RAID1 check up already.

Good point. (Y)

Sounds like you're having the overheating problem.

Bought the digital download this afternoon and after (finally) getting it installed, I go to the initial login screen in SC2 and it keeps telling me there is a problem with Battle.net. Anyone else having this problem? I can't even get into a SP game.

edit: nevermind, finally logged in.

My temps are fine. I'm running a 3870 with a zalman cooler.

The thing is, it never happens during the game. It only happens when I leave the game in the menu/console.

I finish a b.net battle, go for a smoke, and come back 2 minutes later (too early for my windows sleep setting to kick in) only to find my PC in permanent state of non-responsiveness :D

That's the over heating problem.. it only happens in menus.

    • Hi all. I have a seven year old Acer laptop which according to Acer website can't receive the new MS updates. This device lives in my bedroom and is purely a consumption device. No gaming, no nothing. I have followed online instructions and turned off secure boot which now gives me a green tick in W11 Security. Now, I have MWB Premium now for several years and I'm reasonably careful with my online activity with this laptop. I'm also not a gamer in any way so I'm not asking much from this laptop. Given that, am I safe to continue using this device given I've turned off secure boot? That's it, that's my question.
    • finally [Taskbar] Taskbar customization just got easier. As we continue to make improvements to the Taskbar experience mentioned last month, we've introduced a dedicated Taskbar Size setting, making it simpler to find, understand, and personalize your ideal taskbar experience.
    • Let me get this straight... It was a web interface for Gmail, so if privacy at Google wasn't concerning enough you'd be going through two companies. And their big feature was the very thing that would make people consider dumping Gmail.
    • Microsoft's fast coding model MAI-Code-1-Flash comes to Copilot Business and Enterprise by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft’s recently announced MAI-Code-1-Flash model is now generally available to GitHub Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise customers. With this support, organizations can have more centralized policy controls and billing while finally being able to use Microsoft’s lightweight, first-party coding model. According to GitHub’s announcement, Business and Enterprise plan administrators must enable the MAI-Code-1-Flash policy in Copilot settings before developers can access the model. Microsoft says that MAI-Code-1-Flash is for fast, iterative coding work rather than the most demanding architectural or debugging tasks. GitHub’s official model comparison page says that the model is great for "general-purpose coding and writing," while it excels at fast, accurate code completions and explanations Microsoft introduced MAI-Code-1-Flash on June 2 as part of a broader collection of internally developed MAI models. GitHub subsequently expanded support to Copilot CLI, the Copilot cloud agent, GitHub.com chat, GitHub Mobile, Visual Studio, JetBrains IDEs, Eclipse, and Xcode, but said support for managed Business and Enterprise customers was still on the way. In Microsoft’s own benchmark testing, MAI-Code-1-Flash scored 51.2% on SWE-Bench Pro, compared with 35.2% for Anthropic’s Claude Haiku 4.5. Microsoft also claimed that the model used up to 60% fewer tokens on SWE-Bench Verified. Do note that these are vendor-run results rather than independent measurements. The model is billed at provider list pricing under GitHub’s usage-based system. GitHub currently lists MAI-Code-1-Flash at $0.75 per million input tokens, $0.075 per million cached input tokens, and $4.50 per million output tokens. For organizations, the main incentive to use MAI-Code-1-Flash is likely to be efficiency rather than maximum capability. A smaller model that responds quickly and limits unnecessary output is quite useful for repetitive agent tasks at scale, especially after GitHub Copilot’s move toward usage-based billing. The "Flash" model is recommended for fast work and not necessarily for huge repositories with loads of context. It's better if teams compare their output with other larger models, especially if they're working on security-sensitive changes and complex, multi-file work.
