Well, like I say ... I used to use dual screen but I find it an unimportant thing. Everyone is different tho :)

I must say tho ... that dual screen gaming thing looks stupid. Wouldn't you have a big fat bar down the center of your screen where your gun is aimed in Half Life 2? :D

I wouldn't ever dual screen game. Unless the game is like Supreme Commander as that game is designed for dual monitors and handles it beautifully. Pretty much all other genres work better with just 1 or 3 monitors but not an even amount.

Dual screen gaming might be good for RPGs though.... never tried yet. Having the inventory, most of the HUD, and spell binds/icons on the second screen leaves more room for immersion on the main screen.

i don't have the desk space for two monitors(well if i want to put my feet up) i find my 1080p ~24" monitor has enough screen retail without getting cluttered until i open lots of windows or have wmp window open. otherwise i do alot of minimizing. i usually don't have too many windows open though, and switching between windows on win7 is pretty fast and easy.

usually i only have wlm and firefox open, and then mumble later in the day, but by then i'm gaming fullscreen, and the way wow alt tabs it doesn't matter anyway.

no alot of rpg's support strectching across multiple clients well. you can do it, but it's tricky to the point of being a PITA. and gaming with only two monitors is awful because your reticle or w/e is split between two monitors= idk how bad it would be. you really need 3 monitors at least for multi monitor gaming.

most of the people i've talked to with two monitors and gaming usually put irc/wlm/music player/a movie or show/browser on the second monitor. for example a quest guide for wow.

personally i find it faster and easier to just alt tab for these things and i 'm not interested in watching video while i game.

i think mutli monitor set up is most optimally used when you want to have alot of windows open and be able to read the info on them at a glance. not so much if you have to move your mouse constantly across that huge desktop. i think i'd need a very high sensitivity or risk wrist strain. as it is with 1080p it takes slightly more than a smal gesture to move from one end of my desktop to the other.

I use a Logitech marble mouse. I love it, saves me tons of strain and needs less space. I have high sensitivity on mine. Works very good for photoshop!

I once had to use a quest guide thing for another MMO and I used a laptop for the quest guide LOL. That was when I only had my 19 inch LG (that's my second scren now) as my monitor. LOL. The quest was hard as hell in that game! (Tibia)

I wish... IT Manager for an automotive dealer group. It's a job where you're a jack of all trades attempting to be the master of all those trades. I manage the phone system (ancient avaya box), 8 Servers (7 winos, 1 Linux), handle the tape based backups, and i'm a pc support desk person. All those at the same time, plus whatever else management wants to add to the list. I'm told i'm invaluable, but based on my paychecks my value is about $13.00 an hour. haha.

Sounds like my job (in fact it is my job).

Btw... don't hate on the Avaya Definity systems... 1300+ user support, IP & Point-to-Point capable, PRI Capable... the only thing that sucks is Audix.

I'm going to take a guess and say that one linux server you've got is either ADP or an ERA server?

lovely desk .. details?

I was quite relieved about the space this desk offered when we got it. They must have had a huge laptop on that photo.

I used to have a Makael desk from Ikea but it sorta made the living room look like an office. It was too big really too. that's why we got the new desk.

    • Studio MDHR reveals Cuphead sequel and an 8-bit platformer spin-off by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Studio MDHR has been rather silent about its next major gaming project since the release of Cuphead back in 2017. However, that ended today during the Summer Game Fest presentation, with the studio revealing not one but two project announcements. First, the studio confirmed that it is currently in the middle of developing a brand-new Cuphead game, bringing back the iconic characters for another adventure. Just like the last game, this is slated to be a fully hand-animated endeavor. This also means there isn't a release date attached to it yet. “Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do here at Studio MDHR,” says co-founder Chad Moldenhauer. “When it came time to peel back the curtain and share a little bit about what we’ve been up to, we couldn’t imagine a more fun way to do so than with today’s Special Bulletin. The studio is working on this new Cuphead with help from Toronto’s Stop Motion Department and Continue Agency. At the same time, Studio MDHR also revealed that another part of the team has been working on a different Cuphead installment. Dubbed the Mighty Cuphead Adventure, this is taking a different art direction to the original. "In true Studio MDHR fashion, this game goes beyond just taking inspiration from the classics of the 1980s… it is actually built with technology of the era," the studio explained. "That's right: Mighty Cuphead Adventure is programmed in assembly language and designed with the exacting specifications of the Sega Master System home gaming console in mind." Aside from releasing on PC and modern consoles, Mighty Cuphead Adventure will even be playable on the 1985-released Sega Master System. A release date has not been announced just yet.
    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.

    • I've never even heard of this browser before seeing this article. How does it differ from other browsers?
    • Fixing things? Have you ever tried linux? Everything works out of the box nowadays in most common hardware. This includes Wifi and Bluetooth. If anything, if they return back to windows is because they haven't found an equivalent program which often used on windows.
