[Definitive] Best Windows Phone apps

Recommended Posts

I don't know why everybody miss RealTube. It allows you to watch videos from YouTube, DailyMotion, MSN Videos, Funny or Die etc. in HD quality.

I tend to use YouTube the most so I use HTCs YouTube App

I bought Remote Desktop.

It does allow you to view your pc but it has limitations:

1. It's really slow even on wifi.

2. You have to move the screen around, you can't move the mouse around it sticks in the middle of the screen.

I don't think phones are ready for this feature yet, maybe tablets with 4G but I can't do anything really productive using it so for £11.50 it's to expensive.

Lazytube does youtube video's well for me but the subscriptions doesn't work for me but the favs do. But Realtube does play it in HD quality unlike Lazytube.

^ I would say London Travel is better. It has live departure boards and oyster balance. Plus it looks better and works faster. It's ?1.99 though. But I would say it's worth it.

Thanks guys... :-) I'll give London Travel a shot.

I'll be trying it out in London this Friday so that will be the real test.

The official Flickr app has been upgraded to 1.1 today which also brings Picture hub intergration. Now you can directly upload pictures from the hub right to flickr without starting the app.

The rest of the update covers a performance boost and also adds tag support.

I'll be trying it out in London this Friday so that will be the real test.

It got me through this weekend in London just great! Needs bus support as well as support for the thames riverboat services, because without it it's not really London Travel, it's London Underground/DLR, but it's a great little app. Oyster balance on live tile would be nice as well.

The route planner has support for Bus and Coach, Riverboat, Tram, DLR and Overground Rail services as well.

Worked really well for me as well, I was able to plan my route from the train station where I live to the underground station near my destination.

My mate has an iPhone4 and has a cool (stupid really) app, called talking tom cat .. or something like that. I've had a quick look, but from what I can tell - it's only available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Anyone know if it (or something similar) is available for WP7?

Well, I'm going to put the ones I'm using and liking for now:

Adobe Reader

Shazam

Translator (Microsoft)

Weather (Microsoft)

World Clock (Microsoft)

Youtube (HTC)

But I have to say....I'm waiting for a better Translator. I didn't like English > Chinese > English. :/ But then again, IRL it's difficult to translate, nevertheless.

These are my personal favorites :

ilomilo the game. Really simple but addictive game.

QFT. XD

MyComic

just know it from a friend, we love it very much.

and it's definetely one the best Free app in my phone.

I found someone test it:

http://mobilitydigest.com/my-comic-free-photo-caption-app-for-wp7/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+FuzeMobility+%28Fuze+Mobility%29

Oh yeah, I'm testing it out too and liking it! I wonder if they will improve though.

It's perfect for a crazy person like me, I like to doodle on the photos with photoshop and tah dah! There's this version to WP7.

But I have to say....I'm waiting for a better Translator. I didn't like English > Chinese > English. :/ But then again, IRL it's difficult to translate, nevertheless.

Why not try Polyglot, I use that now rather than the Translator app that Microsoft put on the marketplace.

after using birdsong, beez only has the live tile thing going for it. once birdsong starts having the live tile i'll switch over.

- ztitch is pretty awesome, create panoramic photos

- windows phone news, weaves all wp7 news in one app much easier

- voice recorder, great app

- scoremobile, once it gets push/live info it'll be more awesome

- handyscan, comes in handy at times

- realtube, better youtube app doesn't find all the videos though

- tv show alert, doesn't load what a waste of my money (for some reason these tv show apps never work)

Some have very similar functions, but I don't mind.

*trying out the trial version* Till now, sounds good to me! :D Thanks. I'll put some more difficult words afterwards....*evil laughter* Maybe Japanese too....

Another one that I'm trying when I'm bored at parties or waiting for my friends:

Svasti = rating 4.0 of 5.0

It's not the most useful app but it's fun and it's free so...downloaded it. It got those cute chinese motif style, the type I like. It's sort of prediction thing, to see if you'll have luck with your friends today, or family, or money etc. The down side of this program: I'm not sure if it's very accurate. XD

TuneIn Radio has made the hop from iOS to Windows Phone 7. The app supports over 40,000 AM and FM radio stations that also stream over the web, with the stations characterised by genre or searchable by call letters. Even better, as long as the station is broadcasting RDS information, TuneIn Radio will search it to see if the station is playing the song you want to hear.

Cocktail Flow has to be the best looking app so far. Its usefulness is to be debated, but the design is gorgeous!

My LG Optimus 7 (and other LG owners) can download some great apps which are free from the LG Apps Store:

- Cocktail Flow

- Weather & Clock

- Today

- Toolbox. It has Level, Date calculator, Flashlight, Unit converter and many more.

My favorite and most used apps are:

- Weather Bug

- IMDB

- Shopping List

- Facebook. The official app is awesome

I haven't tried Lazytube but I will try soon as other have pointed out the ability to watch HD content from it.

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
