This is a airport runway near me. The picture didn't come out the way I wanted.

This picture is of a township/police department building.

I was stopped by an office as I was taking pictures. He asked if I was ok, I said yes just taking pictures and he left.

That's happened to me a few times... I've never taken pics outside a police building but I am someone who will pull over on the side of the road and go for a 5 minute walk/hike just to take a pic!!

Yeah the first pic is wayyyy to dark, not enough light in the sky

the middle one is cool!

Thanks! Yeah at that airport it's pretty dark.

I never took a picture there before either and i was nervous because i didnt know if they would get mad lol.

I took this lastnight while severely intoxicated.

Somehow it came out fairly well.

Incredible!!!

Mind postin the exif? I am curious seeing as you were "drunk"... I promised myself I wouldn't have my camera with me when drinking... too many bad/stupid things could potentially happen - what did you shoot with?

+1 when getting to a certain level, I just leave my valuables someplace safe :p and DRY.

LMAO taken out the D700 drunk eh... NICE :p

That's a sharp shot for 1/25 second at 35mm (considering you were wasted haha)

Went out last night to Harrisburg International Airport and Three Mile Island.

The three mile island picture is not clear I cant figure that one out, I messed around for awhile. However I didn't stick around because I didn't want yelled at. So how could I get a clearer picture? It looked clear in the viewfinder. Granted when its dark you really cant tell.

Right by the airport police made a traffic stop, a few units pulled up so I figured I'd take a picture. There was two behind the car, and one on the other side.

Does anyone know how to cut back on the "Flare" that comes off some LED lights?

The first picture isnt too bad but the one below is kinda.

The Exif for this one is

Exposure 3

Aperture f/32.0

ISO Speed 800

Would a smaller aperture fix it?

SMALLER...

Wow, lol Why are you using f/32?!?! A BIGGER aperture would fix (at f/32 you're suffering from diffraction :p)!

Unless of course you meant f/3.2.... which would make more sense... I can't imagine a 3 second exposure at night with ISO 800 at f/32...

It is difficult to take a picture of police lights at night... they are just TOO bright. I honestly don't have a solution

The only thing I can think of is this: Take your normally exposed picture e.g. 3 seconds at f/3.2 and ISO 800... then take ANOTHER photo just change the shutter speed to like 1/40th of a second, then using photoshop try and merge the lights?... Actually now that I am going through the process in my head, I imagine that could be quite tough to remove flare's etc.

AS well, you could possible brighten everything but the car in the first image, just with an exposure brush, but since its so dark you're probably going to get quite a bit of noise from "pushing the pixels" that hard

Other than that, the first picture is cool, but would have been better if you took it at a different angle (so the tree wasn't in the image)...

and the second pic is on a weird angle? Actually all of them appear to be on an angle haha, new style or broken tripod leg xD?

I didnt take notice it wasn't like 3.5 or something.

Here is a picture I took before and its aperture was at 3.5. bah, I wish I would have taken notice last night.

Tried something different dunno how I feel about it yet.

Also Dane have you ever been to Altoona? If so get your arse over here and let's go shooting.

Yeah Ive been to Altoona years ago, when I was like ten or so lol. I never have time to go out of my area to get pictures. It sucks.

Nice picture by the way.
