I figured you would have had pics from the new years bash in niagara falls too.

I know I'm late to the party here, but the railroad tie photo looks strange. It's an awesome shot, but the bokeh is so smooth, that the grass strands actually blur enough to make it look like a smoothing or Gaussian blur effect taken too far in photoshop...kinda distracting in my eyes. other than that the colors and bokeh are spot on.

They saw JUPITER and it's MOONS with that set up! That's insane. I guess 5x2x1.3x800mm=10,400mm lens? lol

Wow! I didn't watch that video when I posted it, that Jupiter part was amazing.

Haha thanks. Yeah been gone for a while, busy with work and all, took a good long break to focus on some other stuff, but I'm starting to get back in, hope to have some shots within the next couple months for you guys :)

Hi all,

You guys have some beautiful shots!

I have recently purchased a D3000 and have been trying to teach myself the basics and was wondering if anyone could provide any feedback on a couple shots I've taken. I just see everyone's images and I am blown away at the sharpness and all.

I wish I could get some nice weather up here this spring so I could get a chance to get out and get some shots. Hoping the long weekend next week will give me that chance.

I realized that I tend to position my subject on the left side of the image (for the most part) as I realized a flickr friend tends to take photos of their subject on the right, so we decided to try and do the opposite...
