That's what a couple of my friends told me about hard. Unfair and punishing difficult.

I sat down expecting torture and beat it in one sitting about 5 hours later.

I didn't find it that bad either. I usually play games on normal, and have only lately been upping the difficulty. It took me 7-8 hours on hard, with the main chokepoints being the Canals when attempting to breach the building, and one of the Russian levels where you travesre taht small gun training room. I swear that latter room took me 2h, because one of the several bad guys after the first two rooms would always headshot me.

Ill ask again, please help. My EA account still is not being recognized by Origin and my xbox live name wont connect to my EA account either yet im playing now. Also, is there a code or something for the Mass Effect 3 dog tags?

I figured this thread was a good place to discuss BF3 dogtags and Battlelog issues

They defaulted to high for me as well but I will play it in medium as one 460 can't handle it, at least I don't think so.

Yep 1 460 struggles a bit to run it. The first day the Alpha started SLi was not working yet, and I was not getting the best frame rates at all. That is one downfall of SLi, until it is enabled you are relying on the 1 card. With this game SLi was enabled almost immediately, but I have gone through a few bigger releases not getting SLi support for anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks, it is why I believe once Nvidia releases their 600 series, I am going to heavily consider going back to a one bad ass card solution. With that said when SLi works, it is awesome, definitely.

Well IOC'd my 460 and played BF3 for about 5 minutes and my GPU usage went to 100% /temp went up to 78 Degrees and this was at medium. I will try it at low and see what happens. I am not going to blow my VC over this game though..

Don't oc your gpu then. I don't really think it needs to be done with modern cards at all. The gains don't justify it. Also, if the 460 is anything like the 470 they do run hot. My gtx 470 is idling at 55c right now and they say they can go up to 120c and still run though I've never wanted to test that theory. However, weren't the 460s supposed to run cooler than the 470s?

Well mine is at 39 degrees right now. I think I will follow your advice and normalize it before I burn it up. I wish I could afford a 590 :woot:

Although high, 78 degrees is fine for a max load, which BF3 definitely does max out the card. So even though that seems high, it will be fine.

Thanks, but the fan was so freakin loud it distracted me. I am going to try it on low.

Okay. All I can say to this is if you can here your fan while playing Battlefield, you have your volume entirely to low.

I do realize there are plenty of reasons why one would have to play it at a low volume though, roommates, parents, children, neighbors, etc. etc., so if it is that loud, totally understandable.

Well I just like quiet PC's. I play COD games and they don't drive my GPU like BF3 does but the graphics are as good either.

Ok, finally got my PS3 copy of this... Quick question about the damn online pass though.

If I log into PSN using my gamertag and put in the online code, can my girlfriend, while on my PS3, use her account to play online, or would I have to get another damn passcode for just that? If so, **** EA lol.

    • Yup, broke my comp… again. its times like this when I regret AMD. This just never happens on NV.
    • Huh? You're delusional calling the Steam Deck dead. It is so successful that it has sold out multiple times. Even after the price hike this year it sold out again with 24 hours of being back in stock. The demand is real and has not died down even after four years.
