So, I'm gonna be wrong here and say that's 4am on the East coast of the United States? I googled it, I'm just really intoxicated enjoying the NFL games, want confirmation haha

Thanks for the quick reply also.

I believe GMT +1 is Swedish time, so I guess that would be 4AM in the morning East Coast as you said. It does say however between them times, so I would personally sleep on it.

Haha yes, between 4am-8am, I won't be playing upon 'release'. I doubt the beers and sport will allow me to even be awake by that time

Pretty ****ed at EA right now. Pre-ordered Premium Edition (BF3 plus all DLC) for $69. Apparently, they decided to drop the price to $59 but instead of notifying all of those who pre-ordered, they just cancelled the transaction - but still gave us BF3 + B2K for free (at least that's where we stand right now). So now those of us have to buy Premium but we lose the early access to AK until 9/25! WTF.

So wait, no early access to AK if someone were to buy Premium today? As it is showing up on my end for $49.99

Note the part I bolded about the 2 weeks early access.

So I am actually considering purchasing it for $49 and access to AK now. I figure even if I were only to buy the last 3 DLC packs, getting it now for $49 is still cheaper.

I am seeing it at this price when I right click my limited edition install, and choose "Shop for Add-Ons" right in Origin. is it because I have the Limited Edition I am seeing it for $49.99?

EDIT - Nevermind, did some research, it does seem to be because I already own BF3 that is why I am seeing it for $49.99. Thinking of just going ahead and purchasing it, gonna sleep on it I believe. I also will get AK right away, it is showing up as one of the items in my cart on Origin if I add Premium to my cart. Decisions, Decisions.

I think a deal on Premium for $37.50 should make you decision easier. GreenManGaming with the following voucher: GMG25-1BW0K-K1A3G

AAARGGGHHHH I just purchased it then you posted!! :( :/

Damn, sucks I missed it, but thanks for posting. ****, really wish I did wait now, but I was hoping I could play some Armored Kill tonight, did not realize it was going to take forever to download so I will not be able to play tonight regardless.

Seriously, thanks for sharing this, wish I did see it. (Y)

That is a damn good deal for anyone else considering it.

To add insult to injury, I had $7 in credit at GMG as well.

I honestly never think of them for games, need to start thinking of them in the future.

Aww, I was hoping I made it in time when I read you were going to sleep on it. I wish I had seen your post sooner. :(

They really are great, though. I bought Guild Wars 2 from them for $48.

It all boils down to me being incredibly impulsive.

I was going to sleep on it, then thought to myself I just got an award from work which equals some extra cash. I then reminded myself I tried to purchase Black Ops 2 for the 360 from the Microsoft online store today to get a free 1600 MS points card and a $10 credit, and when I went to go do it on a browser that worked (I originally tried Firefox and it did not work, go figure) that deal was already sold out, so I never spent that money, so I said to myself "screw it, treat yourself," and well, the rest is history.

I really thought I had already downloaded AK as well, as when I fired up Origin initially it downloaded a bunch of files, so I thought I had it ready to play, did not realize I needed to download close to 7GB between it and Close Quarters, so I really thought I would get to check it out tonight as well.

As I said, really, truly appreciate you even taking the time to share that deal. (Y) It is indeed the thought that counts, so very much appreciated.

Hopefully someone else who was contemplating picking it up can take advantage of it.

And I will be checking it out tomorrow night, no doubt about that.

I know that feeling. :p Guild Wars 2 actually ended up a bit of an impulse buy for me. I was looking forward to the game since it was announced and as the release date drew closer I grew less interested. I have no idea why but that's how it panned out. Flash forward a few days from the head-start weekend and I found myself wanting the game again. Ended up convincing a few friends and the rest is history.

The updates really do add up. I'm surprised this update was only ~1.33GB considering how large the new maps are.

It's my pleasure. I'm always happy to share a deal. :)

Yeah, AK is no joke. But as a total tank ######, I am loving it. Already had a heli pilot and jet pilot (that I wish I had FRAPS running) say "that was a lucky shot" as I took them out from a tank. The jet shot was one of the nicest shots I have ever had in any BF game, I timed it perfectly, no luck at all, all skill.

I actually must have taken down about 3 or so helicopters from the tank, these pilots were either new to the game or way to cocky and flying very close to the ground. I had one pretty much level with the ground, not sure what he was thinking.

But as mugger pointed out, with the gunships, it is a whole different ball game. I pretty much hate them, and I even did get caught up in manning one for a good 10 minutes, it was damn fun, but it is pretty cheap, especially when 2 people are manning it. Not sure how I feel about it. But it is really easy to be exposed with them. I will say though the AA tanks seem to be much more powerful then they ever were in previous games, so they kind of balance it out. Kind of. Overall I think Gunships are pretty stupid.

But, the server I was on only had the one map in rotation, the night time one, Death Valley maybe? So I did not really get a good feel for AK overall as it was all I played. I was seeing some weird ass issue were the game would freeze for a second or two, I did just get my GTX 660 Ti recently and upgraded the drivers yesterday, so perhaps that was it, but I also noticed performance was nowhere near as good with it as it was with just a normal map. On Sienne Crossing I was getting over 60 FPS, on this map, I was lucky to get over 45-50. That was with everything on Ultra though, as soon as I turned it down to High settings, was getting right around 60 again. But I would get dramatic frame drops I was not getting on just the regular maps. I guess I need to tweak the settings some.

So first impressions overall are very good of AK. But this expansion was made for me, I have always, always loved vehicles in the BF series. My KD ratio definitely took a hit though, no doubt about it. I went from 1.6 to 1.5 in just a few rounds.

I was in that gun ship with you for a little bit. I agree, I don't think its very fun. The other vehicles are great (except for jets, I absolutely cannot fly them to save my life). And as a straight Assault Medic, which I've played for years, AK is kind of difficult. You almost need Engineer because once you lose a vehicle out in the map, you're toast. I tried playing without vehicles for a bit and got my ass handed to me.

Will have to try some of the other maps, that server we were on was Death Valley loop. I've heard good things about the mountain map. Also, how do you fire flares in the AC130?

I'm finding AK to be very difficult to survive. I'm used to getting targets on my own, but almost impossible in ARK. The maps are so huge (and beautiful), that you can easily be cornered all by yourself by a helicopter, or something else and be killed. Need to work as a team/squad so that you have enough man power with you to take those heli's and tanks out.

Also you gotta be more strategic about how to get targets. you can't just simply run out in the open. The gunship or the heli's again will get you.

I was actually raging yesterday because i kept getting killed ha.

No doubt about it these maps are beautiful. DICE did a fantastic job. Alborz Mountain is one of my favorites so far, and I can't help but think this is what Skyrim would have looked like if Bethesda wasn't so lazy.

Like muggerfugger, I'm also dying far more than I ever have in this game (or any game for that matter :p). If I'm not getting killed by the gunship it's some sneaky son of a gun popping up out of nowhere. The gunship doesn't feel right in Battlefield and it shouldn't be there at all on servers with less than 64 players if you ask me. Overall it's a bit of a frustrating experience, but it's probably far better with a cohesive team and squad (which I've had no luck in finding tonight).

You know, I thought you had maybe joined me, but was not sure. By that time I was pretty much just messing around on that server, it went from full to about half full, so I was doing a lot of playing with graphics settings while playing, which equaled not really playing. I think I am going to be hopping online tonight for a bit actually, and really want to check out the other maps, so if you are around I will send you an invite.

Nice, I need to check out this Alborz Mountain map. Are you on my Origin or Battlelog friends list? If so what is your name? I am at work but have Battlelog open so can add you, or feel free to send me an invite if we are not, just DirtyLarry.

Would be cool if we can get a squad of 3 or 4 on the PC for some AK. Definitely. If we had a squad of 4 with two to a tank, could be lethal.

Also as far as the added content from Premium, like the camo etc, I am not seeing anything? I do not really care one way or the other, but I am a fan of getting what I supposedly paid for. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I go by BoneyardBrew there as well. I sent you a request.

Cool, weird though, when I did a search for you prior to asking, as I figured that may be the case, you did not show up (I did just search Boneyard though).

So I am pretty damn sure I will be on tonight, but if not for whatever reason, I will definitely be playing some this Saturday afternoon, as my wife is going furniture shopping with her sister who just got a new place. So I will def have a few hours on Saturday afternoon if people are around, but I hope to be on tonight as well.

yeah, that is what I thought, I have nothing there?

    • KillerPDF 1.5.1 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.5.1 changelog: Performance Save Flattened PDF now uses multiple CPU cores. Page rasterization is parallelized (PNG encoding runs across cores; the PDFium render step stays serialized since the library isn't thread-safe), so large documents flatten significantly faster while the UI stays responsive (#68). Fixed PDFs that failed to open with "Unexpected EOF" now open (#72). The failure was PdfSharpCore's Flate inflater (SharpZipLib) rejecting the FlateDecode cross-reference stream on multi-revision PDFs - files that open fine in browsers, Acrobat, and Foxit. KillerPDF now detects this and re-opens the file losslessly through PDFium, preserving selectable text. Thanks to @javajon for the report and a detailed reproduction. Grid view renders every page. It was capped at the first 26 pages, so longer documents stopped loading partway through. Tiles also stream in progressively now instead of blocking until the whole document is rendered. Grid Ctrl+Scroll no longer reloads every page when the zoom is already at its limit and nothing would change. Removed a stray horizontal scrollbar (a thin green line) that could appear across the bottom of grid view. Files on UNC / network shares (including the WSL \\wsl$ filesystem) are copied locally before opening, avoiding partial-read failures on network filesystems. Changed Minimum zoom lowered from 10% to 5%, so grid view can pack more columns (helpful for wide/landscape pages) and single-page view can zoom out further.
