I disagree with that completely. Every time I've used EA's customer support I've come out the other end completely and surprisingly pleased.

The two times I had to use their customer support they gave me a code to get *any* game new or otherwise for 50% off, and the other time they gave me a code to get a new or otherwise game for free.

Oh yeah, and they also solved the issues I was having quickly too.

Have you perhaps thought that maybe the fault actually does lay with you and not EA? That maybe your password was not as strong as you thought it was? Just putting that out there because it's not likely they hacked EA to get your info.

You must be lucky. I had two friends who bought the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3, only to find the key would unlock the standard version. Hours spent on live chat, only to be told that they had bought the wrong version and refused to see any proof. This issue was pretty public as well.. In the end they found an email address for an EA rep for our country who fixed things up.

Finally got my account back last night. I had to talk to a bunch of their service people, but eventually got in contact with an account specialist. Overall it was relatively painless, so no complaints here.

I also had my Battle.net account stolen, but I was able to get it back in literally 10 minutes. The people at Blizzard really know their sh*t, and EA should take a huge glance at how they run it. EA also badly needs an authenticator app like Blizzard has.

No, not my fault at all. My password was a mix of 12 random characters, so there's no way in hell somebody could guess it. It's a huge widespread problem and there are a ton of people on the forums and Youtube complaining about it. The trend seems to be that it's people from Russia stealing the accounts somehow.

So this is the guy that everyone hates.... I didn't find that entertaining at all, since this type of person ruins the game.

I don't usually find these kind of trolling videos funny but for some reason I found this one very amusing. Especially when kill knocks the snipers off the aircraft carrier.

Ditto, I never really could understand this "trolling" trend. Nearly EVERY game I join has some douche bag driving around with C4 on a jeep and they ALWAYS go negative. I had one the other day bail out a jet above me 4 times to try and C4 me and failed. The guy went 9/32 at the end of the game.

Then I join another game on Firestorm and about 12 players on the other team were all sat on the hill outside their spawn as snipers with another in the AA tank, oh and they had no flags at all. I find that's all what people seem to want to do in this game. Camp with a scoped rifle or messing with C4. I really can't understand people who select the Conquest game mode to not play it.

How big are the maps?

My friends download was 1.79GB, not sure why yours was smaller.

Are you sure, not to be rude, that you're not referring to the Multiplayer Update (not the actual DLC) that came out on the 27th? Xbox marketplace lists that one as 1.79GB.

Edit: the maps seem to be Back to Karkand-ish in size.

Yeah I think you're right. It shows 1.59GB in the store.

So what was in the multiplayer update for it to be bigger than the expansion?

I honestly do not have a clue, but IIRC some of the DLC related information/data comes with the multiplayer update(s), other than that I do not have a proper answer.

How is Aftermath on PC? I haven't played in over a month, I could not get used to Armored Kill at all - I prefer Conquest and AK maps are so damn big, if you don't get a vehicle you are SOL. Got tired of running wind sprints  Are the maps for Aftermath pretty good?

I just got the close quarters addon....not too sure how I like it.

Close Quaters is crap, Aftermath is similar but larger and open. Gets boring pretty quick, reminds me of Medal of Honor.

I think BF4 should just ditch vehicle maps, and stick to infanty only. Would make more sence.

    • Hello, I have used a few TEAM Group SSDs, USB flash drives, and Micro SDXC cards in the past. They all seemed to work fine. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • "just $100 per TB"? Just? Are we trying to make this seem like the new normal? Kinda weird to make it sound like that is not a ridiculously expensive asking price.
    • The reviews you refer to mean nothing. Where there is no journalism there is no reason to call the gaming media's opinion pieces "reviews". For GP games there is indeed a metric for success - increasing subscriptions. Which turns in revenue. The only circumstance in which subs do not rise when great is being released is a Game Pass system where the company is close to fully saturated with customers in a subscription. However, in that case as the theory goes you spend aplenty in all kind of games - from shady live service cash cows and customer offending agitprop crap in purple colours to robust and entertaining single player games. And keep a solid level of profitability. Ignoring the simply innocuous but mid games MGS has released primarily of the second kind.
    • Report: Microsoft to use AWS to help GitHub deal with a major surge in demand by Pradeep Viswanathan Thanks to the surge of coding AI agents, GitHub's usage has skyrocketed over the past 12 months. To meet this demand, GitHub started with a plan in October 2025 to increase capacity by 10x. However, by early this year, the company realized that it needed 30x scale. This rapid growth has caused severe strain on the platform's reliability, resulting in several small outages over the past few months. In April, GitHub published a long blog post explaining the steps it is taking to resolve these reliability issues. In the post, the company also confirmed that it is working toward a multi-cloud architecture for better resilience. Today, Business Insider reported that GitHub is turning to Amazon Web Services to help deal with a major surge in AI-driven coding activity. It is important to note that GitHub is still in the process of moving completely to the Azure cloud. The current plan is to move the platform fully to Azure by 2027 so that it can scale better as per developer demand. Therefore, the current decision to utilize AWS might be part of a short-term plan to meet immediate demand. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that GitHub is using multiple cloud providers with the following statement: For Microsoft, the decision highlights the operational pressure behind the AI boom. GitHub has to stay reliable for developers at a time when rivals such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI coding tools are gaining attention. And the decision to use AWS for computing capacity seems practical given the circumstances.
