you probably got in only on the disc testing part not the live update part some people got in the live update others just disc and some both.irf you unsure and dont wnat to comprise your system as it saids if it not already accept in the preview and you play that disc it will cut you off from live till it actually is release to the public.

Looks like I got my disc today. I'm in the Live Update group, so I already had the dashboard update. Now I have the Halo: Reach disc as well.

Come home and had my envelope as well. Opened it up and I got the same disc/paperwork that is already been shown.

That's the one that bricks your console :rolleyes:

I'm guessing they were pressed at different places, or there's a different press for those in the disc-update vs. the live-update. Does it really matter?

Probably very few. The update will brick any non-registered console.

They take your serial number when you register. I'm sure the disc checks it against a database of registered consoles before authorizing the update. If it doesn't pass the check, the letter states the console will be banned from Live.

You don't get banned, you just won't be able to connect to Xbox Live until the update goes public.
