Responsive Mode and Layout View in Firefox 15

http://paulrouget.co...devtoolsupdate/

I can see responsive mode being super useful for people developing a mobile site using media queries, which should hopefully happen more in the future (The mobile web still seems to be stuck in the 90s, with most sites using an entirely different markup and stylesheet compared to the main site)

In Firefox 16:

Eliminate Stack Variable (Some speedup in JS engine) - Landed in Inbound

MicroData API (HTML5 support) - Landed in Inbound

PDF.js control in Application Option - Landed in Inbound

Bug 738491 - Implement Australis tab shape & styling on Windows

Sorry Zlip792, but it is gonna happen soon , the bug has landed for UX branch (will be in today's) and is coming soon.

Thanks for informing..

These useless developer only know how to lose customer...

Opera will be next browser to learn my stuff. Will surely help these people out by filing bugs like I do for FF..

Sorry FF you lost your identity..

Shhh , you are not getting it bro... Why would google pay Firefox so much even when Chrome now has max share? (Something they were sure of) That deal also has a secret condition that Mozillian Developers will doom Firefox and make it a Chromish browser... But hey , don't tell anyone!

Is there a way to turn the speed dial page off in 13? I don't know if it's just me or what but it seems like for a speed dial page it's missing half the basic features it should have.

about:config

change "browser.newtab.url" from about:newtab to about:blank

And on a side note , with this you can make firefox open certain site each time you open a new tab. For example , changing browser.newtab.url from about:newtab to say http://www.facebook.com/ you will get facebook each time you create a new tab. A feature which requires an addon.

This is how current WIP patch works like. The implementation is really awesome and close to finish IMO. Only App tabs have problems.

The last one is using Tabs Always in Titlebar addon.

It is in 6th June builds http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-ux/

Oh Yes!! I got your point.. Old days when FF4 was under development, Mozilla did competition campaign etc for adding new UI while now they are blindly adding garbage on it by one user "Stephen horlander" lousy theme basis. Total rip off and more consumer losing decision.

I like tabs always in the title bar

New Incontent Preferences Mockup, yes they are following my (And others :p) suggestion to use vertical list , just like addons manager (feels so good to see your idea being used :D)

(That awkward moment when they use Aero frames but OSX radiobuttons etc :| )

looks good. any way to edit out the tab strip background?

But there is buttons border...? What is going on, They plan to recover buttons border or what?

I guess it is just to give an idea of the customization menu button

PS : Its from 2011 :p I don't know why they covered it in 6 June's weekly meeting .

You're right, I know this mockup and I don't like it :D I prefer current Firefox/Nightly default theme and I've restore buttons border :p on my own. Australis mockup, IMO, isn't best thing, I will need tone of scripts to get "old" theme, unfortunately...

Acording to the heat map (https://blog.mozilla.org/ux/2012/06/firefox-heatmap-study-2012-results-are-in/), the panorama is least being used. They should kill panorama and restore standard windows frames because it is a big problem for taking screenshots of long pages with third party tools.

That mockup is from Sept 2011 , the heat map results for panorama weren't out back then.

    • Thanks, Sony and Nintendo, you effectively killed platform-agnostic gaming. Long gone are the days when you could wish to play a specific game on whatever platform you were. Now, you have to buy the hardware just to play that single game. What, you're only interested in THAT game and nothing more? Bad luck, suck it and buy our console.
    • The AI data centers need it more than us so...let them gobble it all up at that price!
    • "CRAZIER than ever!" Crazy Taxi: World Tour is officially coming soon by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Sega announced it is working on bringing back some of its classic franchises in 2023, and while it has taken some time, the company finally gave fans a look at one of these new projects at the Xbox Games Showcase today, which turned out to be a brand-new Crazy Taxi entry. Watch the debut trailer above, which has snippets of gameplay in between the cinematic bits while blasting a track from The Offspring. Dubbed Crazy Taxi World Tour, this installment is aptly being described as being "CRAZIER than ever!" The director behind the original, Kenji Kanno, is helming this new entry as well, which will come with access to five new cities to drive in, competitive multiplayer modes, a vehicle customization system, and more. Axel is returning as a protagonist as well, but this time a mystery driver is offering him the opportunity to take his adventures to the streets in other countries. This will involve Axel chasing down masked villains that have somehow stolen his taxi, which means even more extreme missions and challenges to overcome. "From transporting passengers at top speed to tackling unique side missions and odd jobs across dynamic maps, there are countless ways to drive crazy and rake in big money," says Sega about this new installment after over 20 years. "Perform outrageous drifts, catch insane air, and drive at crazy speeds across five different cities as you work to deliver passengers and complete a variety of missions and challenges." The studio has even confirmed an in-game Arcade Mode that players will be able to access containing the original games for plenty of nostalgic action. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is currently slated to release sometime in 2027 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
    • This and Crazy Taxi are the two games that interested me the most from this showcase.
    • Good, because the nonstop chattering from the voices in her head made me quit the second game.
