Tech giants are taking steps to help limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Just two days ago, Apple announced store closures outside of China until March 27 among other initiatives to tackle COVID-19 concerns, and now Microsoft is following suit.
The software giant announced today that it has closed all Microsoft Store locations across the world over health risks related to the pandemic. The closure is effective immediately and will last until further notice by the company.

Microsoft has also set up a help center to provide guidance to customers who may be affected by this decision. The company's latest move comes after it canceled the physical aspect of its Build 2020 developer conference and, instead, announced a live-stream version of the event. It's MVP Summit, which will happen between March 15 and March 20, has also been canceled in favor of an online-only event due to COVID-19 health concerns.
