'All-new, top of the line' eighth generation Kindle to be announced next week

Amazon will be launching an "all-new, top of the line Kindle" next week, promising a new generation of the popular e-reader. This will be the eighth generation of Amazon's line of Kindle devices.

Thinking about buying a new Kindle? Well, you might want to wait until next week.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos took to Twitter today to say that the firm will launch an "all-new, top of the line Kindle" with details coming soon.

Heads up readers – all-new, top of the line Kindle almost ready. 8th generation. Details next week.

Currently, Amazon's line of Kindles comes in three flavors: Kindle, Paperwhite, and Voyage. All of the seventh generation models are discounted for Prime members with the following pricing:

Kindle: $49.99 ($30 off)
Kindle Paperwhite: $89.99 ($30 off)
Kindle Voyage: $149.99 ($50 off)
