Apple releases iOS 9 beta 5, along with update for watchOS 2 beta

A couple of weeks after releasing the fourth beta of its updated mobile OS, Apple has now released iOS 9 beta 5 for developers, along with an update for its beta of watchOS 2.

Next month, Apple is expected to unveil its new iPhones, the launch devices for the latest versions of its mobile operating system. The company first showed off iOS 9 back in June, promising a major 'intelligence' upgrade for Siri, and new multitasking features that appear to draw inspiration from Microsoft's Windows 8.

Apple delivered its fourth iOS 9 beta to developers a couple of weeks ago, shortly after rolling out its first public beta. Today, iOS 9 beta 5 made its way to Apple's Developer site, bumping the latest build up to 13A4325c.

The company also released an updated version of its watchOS 2 beta for the Apple Watch, taking that device up to build 13S5325c.

Apple hasn't yet announced a specific date for the final rollout of iOS 9, watchOS 2 and OS X El Capitan, which is also in beta.
