At the "Awe Dropping" event, Apple announced the next-generation Apple Watch Series 11. The new model retains its classic squircle design, with most changes focusing on the inside and the device's software capabilities.
With the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple is bringing 5G to its smart watches. The Series 11 is available in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + Cellular configurations, and the same 41 mm and 46 mm sizes. The company upgraded the battery life to 24 hours with fast charging support.

Aluminum models of the Series 11 have more durable Ion-X glass, while titanium models have sapphire front crystal with better scratch and crack resistance.
The biggest upgrade in the Apple Watch Series 11 is hypertension notification. The watch can now detect signs of chronic high blood pressure and alert the owner about it. Apple is currently awaiting FDA approval, and it says the feature will make its way to the Apple Watch Series 11 later this month in the United States and the EU. Interestingly, this feature will also be available for older Apple Watch models, namely the Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10, and the Apple Watch Ultra 2.

The Apple Watch Series 11 is now available for preorder on the official Apple website. Availability is expected on September 19, 2025. The base 41 mm aluminum model will set you back $399, with Apple also offering titanium models and a fresh set of bands, including new Nike Sport Band, Nike Sport Loop, and Apple Watch Hermes.
In addition to the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple announced the third-generation Apple Watch Ultra and the third-generation Apple Watch SE. The latter received an always-on display (like the iPhone 17), fast charging, optional 5G connectivity, wrist temperature sensing, sleep apnea notification, and more. As for the Apple Watch Ultra 3, it now has 5G and satellite connectivity, a bigger display, hypertension detection, and more.
