Assassin's Creed Origins officially unveiled at Microsoft's E3 event, arrives this October

Ubisoft's latest Assassin's Creed game was showcased at the Microsoft E3 event with an exclusive gameplay trailer. The game takes place in Egypt and will arrive in 4K to the Xbox One X.

Although some leaks had already confirmed its existence, at Microsoft's press briefing, the latest entry to the Assassin's Creed series was unveiled. Titled, Assassin's Creed Origins, the game takes place in Egypt, revealing just how the Assassin Brotherhood was formed.

The gameplay trailer showcased at the event, seen above, showed the protagonist, 'Bayek', who is described as an Egyptian sheriff. Following an assassination target, he uses a variety of skills to gain intel and move closer to his target, such as gaining a birds eye view by literally using an eagle for vision as well as the usual acrobatic maneuvers seen in Assassin's Creed games.

Assassin's Creed: Origins will be available in 4K Ultra HD on the Xbox One X, and will also arrive for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with an October 27, 2017, release date.
