ATi Catalyst drivers released

ATI's new driver suite has been released, with already three reviews. (ed- below

The reaction from Catalyst seems to be fairly positive, looks like ATI's finally beginning to distance themselves from their crappy reputation for drivers, more so observed in the early Radeon and Rage 128 days.

Possible issues found: (source: Rage3D forums)

• Table fog problems in GTA3
• Descent 3 problems
• A few BSOD's reported
• Texture problems in AvP2 (been an on-going problem)
• Discolourations (green tint) occuring on some machines
• DirectX 6 and 7 games/apps work poorly
• Z-occlusion problems in Deus Ex
• Anisotropic filtering has no effect in Win98 under DirectX
• Smoothvision problems in Morrowind
