Civilization VI is free to claim on the Epic Games Store this week

Epic Games Store has put on offer Sid Meier's Civilization VI to claim and keep for free this week, taking the place of Grand Theft Auto V.

Civilization VI is a turn-based strategy 4X title that challenges players with the goal of founding, nurturing, and advancing a civilization. There are a variety of civilizations to choose from, each with unique traits, bonuses, units, and buildings. Here’s how the Epic Games Store describes it:

Civilization VI offers new ways to interact with your world, expand your empire across the map, advance your culture, and compete against history’s greatest leaders to build a civilization that will stand the test of time.

Epic Games Store is offering Sid Meier’s Civilization VI for Windows, but it’s also available for macOS and Linux via Steam, where it is currently priced at $59.99. Here are the minimum requirements:

  • OS: 64bit Win7 / Win8.1 / Win10
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 2.5 GHz or AMD Phenom II 2.6
  • Memory: 4GB
  • Storage: 12 GB
  • Graphics: 1GB DirectX 11 Video Card (AMD 5570, NVIDIA 450 or Intel Integrated Graphics 530

If you wish to claim Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, you can find it here, but you may need to enable two-factor authentication to do so. It will be free to claim until May 28.
