Cortana for Windows 10 gets demoed in new video

Cortana has been one of the more celebrated features of Windows Phone and it's no secret that Microsoft is working to bring the uniquely personal digital assistant to the desktop in Windows 10.

As we slowly move towards its full release sometime in 2015, it's becoming clear that Windows 10 is shaping up to be the most feature-complete iteration of the OS in years. And while we were able to give you a sneak peek of Cortana on Windows 10 yesterday, there's now some video of her in action too.

In the video, Cortana is demonstrated with a range of voice commands. So far, the preview version of Cortana can make Skype calls, check your calendar, make and check appointments, set reminders, set an alarm, take a note, map local businesses, and more.

As a reminder, this version of Cortana is running on a pre-release version of Windows 10. It is not intended to be the final product, either in its design or features, and is only available on certain unreleased builds. Cortana also does not have the ability to ping online servers for more robust commands or to access its more playful and unique responses. When it's finally released, let's hope it has all the charm of Cortana currently found on Windows Phone.
