With the Kinect for Xbox 360 embargoes ending later today, expect a whole load of Kinect based news on here tomorrow. But, in the meantime, we have some stories that may catch your eye, from Crackdown on Windows Phone 7 to the news that Splatterhouse is now gold!

Nicole Scherzinger to do Goldeneye 007 Theme

Nicole Scherzinger has been asked to do the the Goldeneye 007 Theme. The grammy-nomintated singer will take on a new rendition of Tina Turner's original Goldeneye song. Goldeneye 007 is a remake of the Nintendo 64 original and will this time have Daniel Craig taking part as James Bond in place of Pierce Brosnan.

Dead Rising 2 Skills Pack later today

Today sees the release of the final Skills Pack for Dead Rising 2. This pack allows the main character Chuck to enter stealth mode as a Ninja. The skills pack will allow you to be harder to detect and harder to get hold of during the game, while many of the sword based weapons will have increased damage.

The Ninja Skills Pack is available today for 360 owners at 160 Microsoft Points and from tomorrow on the European PlayStation Store for €1.99/£1.59.

Splatterhouse goes red

Yes, Splatterhouse has gone gold for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and will be released later this month. The game is once again a remake of the arcade classic that was released over 20 years ago, and if you have played it you will know just how bloody it can be at times. Expect more of the same this time round.

Dragon's Lair HD Released

An old school classic has made its return. Dragon's Lair has been released on the iPad in all its HD glory. The game is a 554MB download so is packed full of high quality FMV. We will be covering this in a review pretty soon but in the meantime here are the details on the iPad update:

7th Guest to make a return

Trilobyte games, who made the original 7th Guest and 11th Hour games for CD-Roms years ago, are planning on making a return to the gaming scene. They are doing an official port of 7th Guest for the iPhone, no more details have been released on the game other than to say that it should be released before the end of the year.

Rage on iPhone is "Actually possible"

Once again, John Carmack of ID Software has stated that he believes a version of Rage can be made for the iPhone. However, he said that "it would be a hopelessly bad idea." While he previewed what some people thought was a version of Rage on the iPhone a few months back, it has actually turned out to be a game called "Mutant Bash TV," a game show based in the Rage world. "Crackdown 2" "Deluge" Game Add-on Unleashes Explosive New Co-op and Competitive Content, Coming this November

November 16 is the date that Crackdown fans will want to put on their calendar. The Deluge add-on pack will be released and comes with a new co-op arcade mode called “Deluge." This mode has you up against four other players as more and more enemies start to take you on. Next, we have the new Capture the Orb mode, which has you hurtling buildings and dodging rockets as you race to score as many captures as possible, as well as several updates for “Crackdown 2” affecting weapons, vehicles and more.

The good news is that the Deluge pack will be released in both a trial and premium version. The trail version comes with a full sixteen-player Capture the orb mode alongside a sample version of the deluge co-operative mode that will only run in single player. The full version includes all of the extra content as well as the new achievements and more.

A big boost for Windows Phone 7 is also coming for fans of the game. For the first time, the Deluge pack will tie in achievements and the game's activities from the Windows Phone 7 game called "Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst" with the Xbox title. The Windows Phone 7 game is a tower defense game and will allow you to use Bing Maps to choose you fighting place on the battlefield.

Microsoft searching for next Project Gotham developers

No real surprise here, but it is believed that Microsoft is now on the lookout for an European developer to take on their popular Project Gotham franchise that was previously in the hands of Bizarre Creations until Activision signed them up. As soon as we hear more we will let you know.

A big beast of an update for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War has been released. Here is a run down of the change log.

  • Breath of Nurgle heal increased from 140 to 190 for the Plaguemarine Champion and 45 to 55 for nearby allies

  • Blood sacrifice duration increased from 10s to 25s

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood to get exclusive launch DLC

Fans of Assassin’s Creed will be pleased to hear that the release of Brotherhood on the PlayStation 3 later this month will come with a free piece of DLC that will only be available for the PlayStation. The add-on will be called "Copernicus Conspiracy" and will be out to download on launch day.
