Dell unveils 49-inch curved QHD display built to run two virtual monitors and more

Dell announced today a bevvy of new additions to its UltraSharp family of monitors designed to cater to consumers' intensive multitasking demands. The computer company noted that the new range of UltraSharp monitors has been built with workforce productivity in mind.

The largest among the new displays is the 49-inch curved, dual QHD monitor (U4919DW) with a 32:9 aspect ratio that supports running multitasking content, courtesy of its picture-by-picture feature. It has an IPS panel encompassing 99 per cent of the sRGB color gamut, which makes it an appealing option for photo and video editors. The monitor also boasts a 5120x1440 resolution for viewing content in fine detail. It will set consumers back $1,699.99 on October 26 when it launches in the U.S.

Additionally, Dell unveiled the 32-inch 4K USB-C monitor (U3219Q), with support for HDR content playback, thanks to its DisplayHDR 400 feature, coupled with its edge-to-edge viewing experience. The 34-inch curved USB-C monitor (U3419W), meanwhile, features WQHD (3440x1440) panel built with IPS technology. It has a 21:9 aspect ratio, and built-in dual, 9W speakers. The 32-inch and 34-inch monitors are now available to buy in the U.S. from $1,099.99 and $1,149.99, respectively.

Those that don't need a large amount of visual real estate may settle for the UltraSharp 24-inch (FHD) and 27-inch (QHD) monitors, instead. Both monitors have a small monitor base and come with two different options: with and without USB-C support. The 24-inch monitor (U2419H) can be purchased starting at $349.99, while the USB-C variant (U2419HC) costs $399.99. The USB-C (U2719DC) and non-USB-C (U2719D) versions of the 27-inch monitor retail for $649.99 and $599.99, respectively. All of these monitors are now available in the U.S.
