Today, Bungie announced the next major expansion for Destiny 2 called The Witch Queen. You and your fellow Guardians will have to delve into Savathûn’s Throne World to uncover the mystery of how she and her Lucent Hive stole the Light.

On your adventure, you'll learn the secrets to crafting new weapons, the new Glaive, and survive the truth within her web of lies. Best of all, there's a new destination to explore in the game that looks like a murky swamp — definitely a first for Destiny 2.

You can pre-order Destiny 2: The Witch Queen on the Microsoft Store starting at $39.99. There's also a Deluxe Edition available for $79.99 that grants access to Seasons 16 to 19, two dungeons, an Exotic weapon, its Catalyst, Ornament, and an Exotic Sparrow. The expansion launches on February 22, 2022.

Aside from revealing the upcoming expansion, Bungie today released Season of the Lost in Destiny 2. This latest season of the game ties into the expansion and sets the events that will occur in February. Unlike other, shorter seasons, Season of the Lost will run from August 24 to February 22 when The Witch Queen launches.
