At the time, the video game maker announced that the game - titled DIRT 5 - would be coming to next-gen consoles in addition to current-gen consoles and PC. A launch window of October 2020 was also disclosed.

Today the developer and publisher unveiled an exact launch date for the off-road racing title. DIRT 5 will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam on October 9, 2020. A new trailer for the upcoming game has also been revealed, as seen below.

Along with the release date, Codemasters also revealed more information about the game, stating that DIRT 5 has the "franchise’s biggest Career mode to date, with 130 events, five chapters, nine event types, real-world sponsors, optional objectives, choice-driven progression and so much more".
