The Epic Games Store has brought out its latest freebie offer. The new promotion has now replaced last week's The Stone of Madness giveaway, and to take its place, Doomblade has landed for all PC gamers to grab. As always, the game is yours to add permanently to your Epic Games Store library within the next seven days.
Originally released in 2023 and landing from developer Muro Studios, Doomblade is a Metroidvania experience with fast-paced combat. You take on the role of Gloom, a being that's the last of her kind that is using a bloodthirsty sentient weapon known as the "Doomblade" to unlock its powers and deliver carnage to enemies.
The gameplay offers an interesting twist where you get pin-point accuracy while in combat thanks to the direct mouse or thumbstick-driven control system. This lets you fly through the air and tap on enemies to directly attack them while avoiding obstacles and staying in the air.
"From the abandoned halls of Gloomhaunt into the New Wilderwood forest full of untrusting tribesmen, through the Molded Mines with their hedonistic shroom people, and into a technological hellscape known as the Power Sector," adds the studio, describing its game. "Gloom Girl must fight her way through these interconnecting worlds and destroy the monsters within as she hunts down the Dread Lords who imprisoned DOOMBLADE."
The newly available Doomblade giveaway on the Epic Games Store is set to run until April 30, giving PC gamers seven days to claim the latest offer. Once this closes out, a new freebie will take its place on the same day.
