- Torchlight, the fantasy action-RPG from developer Runic Games, has now sold 1 million copies between the Xbox 360, PC and Mac versions.
- Mass Effect, the movie? A panel at this month's upcoming San Diego Comic-Con will discuss the upcoming adaptation of the sci-fi RPG series.
- Resistance 3, the upcoming PS3 exclusive shooter, will be the first PS3 game to have a PSN Pass which is a one time code to enable the game's full multiplayer features.
- Spiral Knights, the free-to-play action game from Three Rings and Sega, has reached 1 million registered users.

- The upcoming Star Trek third person action game, first shown at E3 2011, will apparently be an "official" story in the Trek canon.
- PC game publisher Paradox Interactive says that 90 percent of their game's sales now come from digital download sites rather than retail stores.
- Sony has decided to discontinue selling digital downloads of comic books via its PSP console.
