This past weekend we published a hands-on of Oddworld: Soulstorm, which is a remake of 1998's Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, the second game in the Oddworld franchise. This title not only features great visuals, but also adds new story elements that increase the scope of the tale. Oddworld: Soulstorm - Enhanced Edition takes this one step further.

According to developer Oddworld Inhabitants, this version features improved gameplay mechanics, better character movement, refined audio, more responsive enemies and followers, as well as countless bug fixes. There are also a few new levels in there for you to enjoy on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. The game has been available since April 2021 on PC and PlayStation platforms, but it finally made the jump to Microsoft's devices last week.

You can view the full hands-on with 14 minutes of gameplay video here.

Yesterday, we also published a hands-on of Grim Dawn: Definitive Edition which is a Diablo-like action role-playing game (ARPG) that originally launched on PC in 2016. The title garnered stellar reviews from critics and has received strong post-launch support over the years. The Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods expansions not only add more items and weapons, but also bring new environments for you to explore. All of this content is available in the Definitive Edition of the game.

Grim Dawn costs $54.99 so it’s competing with AAA games. Since the performance and resolution targets are so low, the title runs smoothly no matter what’s happening on-screen. It plays exactly like an ARPG should with the controller. You directly controller your character with the left thumbstick and use a variety of attacks by pressing buttons like X or Y.

You can view the full hands-on with almost half an hour of gameplay video here.
