Google Nexus 4 to be exclusive to O2 for a month in the UK

The announcement of Google's announcement has sparked off the reaction of many Android users and other potential consumers, but in the UK we have learned that the device will be exclusive to O2.

For one month, the Google Nexus 4 will be exclusive to O2 when it launches in the UK in the middle of November and if you’re looking at getting the phone on another carrier’s price plans then you’ll have to hold out until mid-December at the earliest.

It should be noted that the last time O2 had any exclusive deal was when the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS launched. One has to wonder whether the Nexus 4 will do justice just as well.

To seal the deal of the first lucky consumers, LG has promised to give away one of its TVs to the first 100 buyers of the handset.

For a device sporting a 1.5Ghz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, 4.7-inch HD display, 8MP camera and running the cleanest version of Google's mobile platform, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean; users shouldn't fret, as we feel the SIM-free model is a no-brainer purchase for people looking to buy a new high-end Android device whilst keeping their existing SIMs. The handset of the 8GB model will cost £239 and the 16GB will still cost a very reasonable £279.
